I just got this noisemaker. It’s a Source Audio Soundblox 2 Multiwave Bass Distortion...damn that’s a mouthful.
I saw it at GC in Mobile Sunday, but passed on it because I wasn’t sure how it would sound with their Hot Hand controller - which I already own, along with their bass envelope filter. I liked the demo vids online, so for an extra $11.13 I had it shipped here vs. waiting until I drive back to Mobile for proactive on Sunday. The pedal was used & only $79.00.
I’m still waiting on a 2nd interface cable so I can daisy-chain the Hot Hand -> distortion -> envelope filter & control both pedals at the same time. I did get my pedal board rearranged tonight & have everything else hooked up, so I tried out the distortion for a short time. I like some of the sounds from it, but unfortunately it’s way louder than my bypassed/clean signal, unless I turn down the gain to the point it barely distorts. I’ll need to find a solution for that.
last Christmas I received a Surfybear reverb DIY kit. I just got around to starting it last month and the trip to Monterey took a huge chunk of that time.
Anyhow. Solid pine case wrapped in Fender "parchment" tolex. I folded an aluminum chassis to hold everything. The faceplate is a piece of tortoise shell acrylic engraved with my vintage New Hermes pantograph machine. The beaver tail switch and indicator light are from a 59 Fiat 600. High beam indicator to be exact.
Only thing I am unhappy with is the alignment of the text. Not sure what happened to make the text italic. I love that part, it just screwed up and moved some of it off plane.
It sounds awesome. Drip for days. It is the most vintage sounding of my reverbs.
I have also changed up the pro jet with some tv Jones classic filtertrons and a bigsby b6.

I bought one for a friend's son who had a crappy little amp.
I am stunned at how well it sounded!
Can we do for sale stuff here? I have some stuff to offer up and wanted to do it on GRM first, but not sure where to post it.
Don’t know the official rule, but I’d like to see them.
Evan, is that an aerodyne? I owned one once. Twice actually, as I sold it to my brother then traded back for it. Ultimately sold it again, but a really nice guitar.
In reply to mtn :
Did they make Aerodyne guitars? My nephew has an Aerodyne Jazz Bass and it's really nice. Whatever that Tele is, it looks cool and I've never seen one like that!

It's a neck thru Esquire. Very light and badass guitars, I posted mine a little ways back too

Missed that one.
Wow... killer deal. The damned case is almost worth that much. My problem is I already have so many guitars that I don't play often enough that I'm hesitant to add any more.
I get the feeling trading posts within this thread would be OK. We are essentially a captive audience. I have a bunch of guitars I need to part with as well although I know from experience shipping a large package like a guitar has become pricey for the individual through every shipping vendor I've tried. So when dealing with fairly cheap guitars, shipping adds to the price significantly.
Truth be told, my life needs a motorcycle more than musical gear right now. We can exchange info via pm if anyone is interested.
As for shipping, with the challenge close maybe we could arrange transport that way? I’m sure we can figure something out.
Brief description- a Tweed Deluxe (5E3) clone that I made. I have several tubes to go with it. Only mods are center tapped PT to reduce hum and a master volume. Ted Weber ceramic grey wolf speaker.
Epi Les Paul with SKB HSC. I removed the PU covers, otherwise it’s the same as in the pic.
HSS Squier strat with new fender gig bag. Bought it and never played it.

What where when why and how?
Firefly FFTH
Amazon
because I needed a 33rd guitar
Because I was lucky and got them before they sold out
I've been waiting on the metallic green Firefly FFTH to be back in stock. On sunday there were 9 blue ones sold as B stock on ebay for $90 each. I figured I couldn't lose for that even if it wasn't the exact color I wanted. Of course on Tuesday there were many colors in stock on Amazon, including the green I wanted. I got it today and I can't find anything wrong with it. The intonation is off a little bit but not much, I'll adjust it and play more when I get time. Can't beat it for $96 shipped.

Nice!
Firefly is going thru some teething problems with some seriously stupid QC stuff but I'm glad you got a good one. I love mine
Its a little goofy looking but I picked this up tonight for a hundo on clearance. Meet the new hotel room travel guitar!
In reply to poopshovel again :
