This why I keep a tote full of every possible adapter in the basement. I'm fairly certain I could stream a 4K movie into a black and white TV with only 2 antenna screws on the back, and push the audio into an 8 track player.

A major disaster in my home destroyed my CD collection.
Along comes DRM BS, and iTunes claimed damn near all of MY music. If I wanted to use it any other way, it was going to cost ten cents per song. A few hundred bucks, to convert my berking music to a format that can be used anywhere other than iTunes.
