I have never though about this before: a terminator can't play the trumpet (no lungs to push air).

An endoskeleton cannot. The 800 series has full circulatory system including a heart and lungs.

I must have missed that somewhere. I thought it was just "living tissue over a metal endoskeleton" I don't recall a mention of any organ outside of skin.

Earlier, Sarah said something like "no, it was breathing". Might have been "bleeding".
Also note that after the police shootout, it was starting to rot. It probably shut its heart down so it wouldn't bleed from its eye socket when trying to infiltrate the police station.
In T2, Sarah made a point of asking the T-800 if it could heal, and it answered "Yes".
Rob Ager did a whole lot of interesting videos about The Terminator's movie production, scriptwriting, and internal psychology, and made an interesting point that as the movie progressed, the T-800 was showing more and more signs of getting pissed off. Probably due to having to weigh finding Sarah before she runs to ground, vs. being able to keep up its camouflage. The mission won over long term viability but this meant it had to succeed quickly.
So, it can breathe for sure, and has to have a heart to pump blood...
