Oof. That's rough. We had one of those, though thankfully he didn't do it every day. The practice ended after I taped a discreet little circle-and-slash "no fish" pictogram on the microwave door. His temporary hurt feelings were a small price to pay for everlasting olfactory peace.

One of the best mechanics on our team was Phillipino, and one Sunday he brought some left over spring rolls in from a party the night before. And as we were all devouring them I turned to him and said, these things are great, are they really dog penis?
The looks from the rest of the shop were priceless.

Ahhh... Yep, same here, their cuisine is..... Interesting to say the least. Food just shouldn't smell like that
Balut is really more of a dare for the tourists, very few actually eat them on the daily (outside of the Philippines).
Being married to a Filipina and being "doused" in the culture, very little of their food smells bad and most of it is quite good. The exceptions are their spaghetti (its really sweet, like weirdly sweet) and of course Balut (which is more of a bet, than real food).
Quite a lot of Spanish, American (their Fried Chicken is really awesome) and other Asian influences (Lots of Malay, China, Korean, etc.) it really is a melting pot.
Also, it has to be said, being married to a Filipina who doesn't eat meat is kinda odd at times.
Hey buddy...
I used to work with a bunch of Filipinos, super nice folks and yeah, the awesome food.
Wish I'd heard the spring roll thing before, that's hilarious.
I humbly ask your forgiveness for my last image. Kind of stepped over my own line there into the beyond. In the interest of good taste (some would say great taste, in the case of the replacement image), it's been edited.
Going along with the nostalgia theme, here's you another'n.

I was a stew with two Philipinos, should have paid more attention when they made Chicken adobo. Rogelio made some kind of dough, mushed it down on a hot greased flat top, and made less than paper thin egg roll wraps. Magic.

Yes, but... they do eat a lot of fish.
And in a factory of 1100 people, the lunch room can take on an odour not everybody can appreciate. Every day
