I look at it this way- my head is so full of awesome knowledge that is really cool to know, it's taken up all the available space and left no room for trivial nonsense like "where I put my keys".

Yo Banks !
How about you stop snail mailing me the needless promotional stuff for your credit card twice or more a month, and instead snail mail me my statement free of charge once a month !
Not done yet, that is only Argggg #1
Arggg #2
Android phone, are they berking me with the updates ? Turning off stuff ? I was behind on my updated, I applied one, and the speech to text stopped, endless trouble shooting, no luck Apply the next and its back I also notice (placebo???) that when there is an update waiting my battery runs down extremely fast, like needing two charges a day, up from a charge every couple days. download and apply the update, back to normal.
Done, at least for today, I hope.
Are you berkeleying kidding me? I ordered a shifter linkage rod on Monday. Overnight shipping. I expected it not to be here until Wednesday. That would've been fine. Understandable even. Hell, even Thursday if you had to make one. I call today and it hasn't even shipped yet. It hasn't even been MADE yet. And you have no idea how to give an ETA. WTF?! How about getting off your berkeleying ass and go ask someone. You don't think you should have a contingency for general production ETA? And after I suggest maybe marking it not in stock on the website if you don't have them on the shelf you tell me since you have all the parts, it is *technically* in stock? Yeah. berkeley you. When you're the only option it shouldn't give you carte blanche to berkeley the customer.
Lab results are back, and it's not strep. "Finish the course of antibiotics and come back in if you aren't doing better."
Probably not going to wait that long. Drooling in my sleep because i can't swallow, hocking up brown lung cookies, and subsisting on a diet of soups, tea, and shivering.
Oh good. Got the money sorted out, now all my materials are on backorder until the end of the month.
berkeleys sake
This is apparently the point where everything goes wrong again. I had met someone in an online group that lost their husbands recently. We get along well and were going to met in person but she got hurt. She's likely going to need surgery so it will be a while if it all. Now in addition to everything else keeping me up at night I'm worried about her and her kid even though I don't really know them. I also got a call yesterday that Jodi’s stone isn't going to be ready any time soon, maybe not until spring. Out of their control but disappointing. I was really hoping it would be placed by her birthday next week. Also, it's going to be her birthday and she's not here. And a friend found out he's got cancer and it's pretty much everywhere so he's probably not got much longer. Other than that life's going swell.

Ugh. That sucks, man. Have you tried killing it with whiskey???

I could insert some random meaningless inspirational message here, but sometimes life just berkeleys you right in teh arse.
I'm here if you need to talk.

Every once in a while I go out to the shop and destroy something just for the sheer pleasure of it. It's always something destined for the scrap pile or dump but sometimes it helps releive some of that pent up frustration and anger.
Heating a piece of metal to red hot and beating it into submission works too.
I'm sorry you are having to deal with this. Know that this group of losers is always around for you.

Not if I am taking antibiotics.
I believe that finding anything on Facebook Marketplace is by chance.
I typw in VW.
Besides VW I get Lexus, Subaru and Ford. And items that are not remotely related to the search. Cesspool.

Damn Wally. They say the first year is the hardest, but you just keep taking the hits. I wish I could do something.
I appreciate everyone's concern. I'm ok most of the time but every so often circumstances piling up and spending a lot of time alone work together to make things rough. I'll be fine again in a day or two.
Welp, I think I just broke the little toe on my left foot.
ran it into a piece of furniture in a somewhat inebriated state. Even through the fog of inebriation, it hurts.
hopefully it will feel better on the morning. That said, I've never broken a bone in my body, even after all the dumbass E36 M3 I've done, so this would really suck if I really did break it.
Just annoying.

Oh, if it's broken it will hurt like a mofo in the morning.
I've only broken one bone in my body. The second toe on my left foot.... twice.
Rant: There are apparently two species of cam seal that fit a VVT Volvo. Light orange, and brown. I have one of each on the engine. The orange one is in place. The brown one blew out.
Ordered Fel-Pro seals because I could get them rapidly. They are the brown flavor. Tried to Right Stuff the seal in and it squeezes its way back out. Removed all the Right Stuff, cleaned surfaces surgically clean with brake cleaner, and it still squeezes its way back out.
Went out to my storage facility to see if I have any leftover orange ones from the five million gasket/seal sets I bought this year. Nope, just a used brown one and an unused brown one.
18 drops of superglue later, the other new seal from the seal kit is glued in place. I really REALLY hope it or the other one don't blow out again. It is a gigantic pain in the ass to replace the cam seals, because you have to start by removing everything from the back of the engine, and the starter, so you can put the locking tools in place.

When my boy was little he had the wooden duck on the end of a stick and it's feet were cut from rubber. When you moved it the feet would hit the ground and make noise; flap, flap flap.
When you're 32 years old and you run full speed through the house on hardwood floors you get this crazy sound; FLAP, FLAP, FLAP, FLAP........then your pinky toe hits the thin desk leg and next you're limping at work explaining about this wooden duck.
Some stupid berkeley is burning garbage/plastic/veneered wood in the neighborhood. I can handle just about any fumes, but this E36 M3 makes me want to puke. Congratulations, shiny happy person.

Do yourself a favor and tape it to the next toe over. It'll do wonders for the pain and help the toe heal. Pretty much the best way to splint a broken digit.
In reply to Recon1342 :
That's all the doctor would likely do anyway. I'm impressed that there are adults that never broke bones.
In reply to Wally (Forum Supporter) :
I think my bones are either made of rubber, or rebar infused concrete, given the number of times I really should have broken something. So for all of the stuff I can bitch about with this body, I'm pretty happy with the adamantium skeleton option.
(yes i know why he was sick all the time in Logan. that was a movie, this is real life, jeez)
I’ve somehow never broken a bone, knock on wood, possible exception of a finger or toe. I probably had a hairline fracture in a bone in my ankle when I took a slap shot right below the pad, but nothing I went to the doctor for.
Closest i I got was tearing a couple of ligaments in my shoulder.
That's amazing to me. At my last chest X-ray the doctor said it looked like someone threw a xylophone down the stairs.
In reply to Wally (Forum Supporter) :
I've cracked a rib. That was it...
I figured mountain biking would've resulted in more broken bones, but instead I got two trick shoulders and a host of dislocations.
