So my Father is back in a rehabilitation hospital after having minor kidney surgery due to a nasty infection. The left kidney is totally dead and the right keeps spitting out stones. Unfortunately, the place they put him in till his pic line is out is literally around the corner from me. I can walk there in 5 minutes. It means every time he needs something, he calls me first before asking the nurses.
I have to put my phone on airplane mode when I go to bed now, or he will call me at all hours of the night.

Can't be a mess now...
If its always been a mess.

Yeah, when he announced he was leaving the channel my first thought was "I don't think he's got what it takes to go it alone." Looking at the views on his channel, I seem to have been right. He was good sidekick material and needed someone to bounce his humor off of. Now his spot has kind of been filled by ol' Georgie, and he absolutely slays me.
BUEEEEENNNNNNNNOOOSSS DDDIIIIIIIIAAASSSSSS.
I'm wearing a george shirt right now. He actually makes me enjoy cleetus more, he's stoked on EVERYTHING.
I think him saying "I'll show you!" and then cold-revving the E36 M3 out of the engine for his burnout truck, only for it to immediately barf several rods and pistons out was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Especially with James in the background going "It definitely just blew up." Either that, or the fact that his choice of words after getting airborne and then barrel-rolling the Fiero that they just got was "Golly, what in the world?" as he's hanging upside down in the harnesses.
So that little black thing above your door opening is called a dual technology sensor. It has a radar sensor that detects motion. That plant you place right beside the door that is blowing in the breeze can and will set it off. This will make your door open when nobody is around. We call that ghosting.
It also has an infrared curtain safety sensor that shoots down about 2" from the face of the door. That piece of paper you taped to the door that is blowing in the same breeze will trip this sensor and cause the door to reopen in the middle of the close cycle. We call that recycling.
Now, these issues don't particularly bother me. I've been dealing with them for decades. The problem comes when I send you the invoice for the cost of a service tech driving 4 hours round trip to remove that fancy sign you taped to your door and suggest moving a plant. You are going to think I charge too much for such a simple repair, but paying the tech and feeding the truck costs money.

I need to remember that even the "good" subreddits are still cesspools. Less scummy cesspools, but cesspools none the less.

Appleseed said:FJ40Jim said:Piston engine classifications. 2 stroke, 4 stroke, 6 stroke... pick one.
It is not a 2 cycle engine. Worse yet, definitely not a 4 cycle.
4 cycle engine? What, like it's a diesel 2 stroke, otto 4 stroke, Miller and Atkinson? Yep, 4 different combustion cycles in one miraculous engine.
There are in fact some industrial engines that can cold start as Otto cycle, then as warmup progresses, can be switched to Diesel cycle. So yeah, a 2 cycle engine is a thing, but not a Yamahammer 2 stroke dirt bike.
Better tell the oil guys.
I know. Half the oil bottles say that. I wanna send a note to the tech department to ask which two cycles they feel this oil is good for?
2020 CRV, 11,461 miles. Yesterday I start it and the blower fan is loud... hmm. Today I start it fan loud. Drive to Honda dealership to set up service because I generally don't touch brand new cars. Service guy (who is as nice as any service writer I have every talked to) says let's take a look at your cabin air filter. He opens glove box, pulls off cover, says yep, you have mice. It will be a couple hundred bucks to clean it out but I can't do it today. So add that to the list this weekend. GMT400 needs blower fan and a resistor, CRV needs de lousing and cabin air filter. berkeley.

Oh yeah. Dont ever tell someone they're wrong in Reddit and support it with evidence. That's a death sentence. See my experience with the Disney subreddit for reference.

Everybody: Please stop adding so much hops to styles that don't call for it and then not mentioning that you've done so. I don't want a porter that's hopped like an IPA.
Additional rant:
Please, just have a solid representative of the style and then do offshoots or seasonals. I don't want the only offering of a style to be a peanut butter and jelly double coffee mocha porter.
Just make a good porter, otherwise I think you can't really make beer and are trying to hide it.
I'm painting. I hate painting but they have chosen 2 slight different colors of white and my brain is pudding from painting white over white beside white with some more white.
I spent the last three hours de icing the fridge again.
berkeley Samsung. berkeley the engineers, bean counters, salesmen, every single person involved with the condensate drain on this motherberkeleying piece of E36 M3. berkeley them all with the concrete dildo of hate.
There are people that just want to be able to just chew on hops at a bar, and feel like a good IPA is one that makes you want to vomit because of the taste.
These people exist, and I'm sure I've told the story before.
IPAs are horrid
To put the white on white thing in comparison here is a picture. The walls and the trim around the window are 2 different colors and the trim color is supposed to be a great contrast.
And they want the fireplace white too..

How very THX 1138 of them.
It's freaking terrible, I had to talk them out of a very light gray floor too.
The worst part of this is they are doing this to sell it and are absolutely convinced that all white is gonna net them thousands of extra dollars.
The original colors were pretty well thought out and good too
Here are the 2 original colors with the lighter gray being predominant and the darker blue gray used as accent walls. Not exactly exciting but all the hardware is silver as are the fixtures. It worked well.

It's not terribly difficult to DIY. We get this at least twice a month.
