Man... I woke up in shiny happy person mode this morning, and I have no idea why. I've been cranky all day.

Occupational hazard, maybe? I did as well. Only a small portion of my considerable rage was directed at the architect today, which is unusual on this project, and probably speaks to how annoying all the other crap that rolled my way really was. Or maybe it was that I got hit with a 12-gauge combo meal of head cold, allergies, and too much coffee turning what's left of my innards into a random-action noise and distress generator. That'll put a hitch in your gitalong. And also turn an otherwise gentle soul into a generally unhappy and markedly unpleasant human being.
Harrumph!
I'd like to think half of the people flying the "No Step on Snek" flag whould be perfectly fine with the government treading on people they don't like.

Wow, I thought I was the only guy funneling cash to an expensive daughter. (Cue Little Rascals guy throwing handfuls of cash out the window into the wind gif)
Well mines kinda silly. I told my son that if he went back to college and maintained better than 3.0 I'd buy a Mercedes with a V8 and let him commute in it (he lives at home). This ends up meaning that I only drive it a couple of times a month, but that's okay (Until something expensive breaks anyway).

What is that even supposed to mean? "I'd like to think"? Because you don't like libertarians? You have some mental picture of people who favor individual liberty and smaller government as hateful shiny happy people? It somehow makes you feel better to insult people you think you don't agree with?
Maybe it would be better if you just save the political snark for some other forum because obtuse generalizations, about any group, are unbecoming. And politics don't belong here.

TIL that "No step on Snek" isn't just an amusing meme.
oh you were wondering when service may come back? Sorry, our outage system is experiencing an outage. Good luck.
Realtors need to spend less time staging houses with live laugh love signs and more time actually taking useful pictures and writing descriptions. Half the time it's impossible to tell basic info like if a house has a garage or not

I'm genuinely upset when I'm looking at a listing with a big garage, and there are no pictures of inside. WTF.

But good thing they got a picture of the shopping center that's 3 miles away for some reason. Certainly earning their 3%
It was raining out here in Southern California last weekend while I drove by two ladies with complicated cloths, hair, & makeup trying to schlep some home for sale signs across a soggy lawn back to their black Range Rover...mascara running, heels sinking into soil, you get it.
I thought "this is all so stupid, why do we allow this to be baked into the cost of performing a real estate transaction".

Maybe I'm talking about the other "half" that are DEFINITELY not Libertarians, and have subverted the message that that flag actually stands for? Maybe it's the subversion and corruption of that message that irritates me?
Your reaction is why I rarely, if ever, post anything remotely political. But I stand by my statement.
In reply to Rodan :
I promise you most "no step snek" flag flyers are not libertarians. Around here, you're more likely to find a confederate flag alongside the snek flag than an American one. That said, there are tons of other uses of that flag, up to and including LGBTQ allies flying it. So it's complicated.

From the ones I have met and worked with, it's 100%.
In reply to Rodan :
I am a life-long small-L libertarian. In my experience, the vast majority of people who identify with the Snek flag have a fairly narrow subset of liberties they actually support.
I'll leave it at that.

My favorite recent take on the Gasden flag, and certainly seems in keeping with its original intent:

We're having one of those "the no politics rule doesn't apply so long as you're super duper sure you're right" moments.
I had ordered some shiny silver vinyl to cut a Maserati logo to place on the side of the Biturbo where the actual logo had been taken off at some point. I ordered it about a month ago expecting that it would arrive in plenty of time for the Challenge - like all the other vinyl I ordered at about the same time. Just about 2 weeks ago, I went to the purchase record in eBay and asked for a refund since it never arrived. I got the refund, but it showed up today. Here's what USPS has to say for themselves:
Three weeks to get to Cleveland from LA? And then another week to get from Cleveland to my house? Great job, team.

And that, in a nutshell, is the point I was trying to make.
It would be really cool if facebook marketplace had a price filter that would exclude any price of exactly $1,234. I wonder what those scammer sweatshops in Asia pay their people? Could I hire them for a couple weeks to just bombard the living E36 M3 out of every single person that listed a car for $1,234 with a stream of offers to buy it for that price? And do the same thing to the jackass buy-here-pay-here dealerships that list their downpayment as the price. Would that annoy people enough to put a stop to it?
