Be honest. You found out they were delicious.
I tried boiled peanuts when I was in North Carolina and wasn't impressed...in the Midwest we would say, "Well, that's different."
Why on earth would you boil peanuts?
Never been to the south huh?
I have never tries boiled peanuts, largely due to my peanut allergy.

Chicken.
No, I'm not allergic to chicken, I can eat all of that I want.

Something that I can't say I didn't like, but I can honestly say I don't think I'll ever eat them again.

Chicken.
Tastes yummy with the right seasoning...peanuts deserve to be roasted and crunchy rather than boiled and mushy...

Anyone from a long time Chicago family? My 83 year old Father in Law always say's 'Melk' for milk, I've questioned him and been told that's how they said it where he grew up. Anyone else heard this?
This happens in mn snd parts of Wisconsin too. My ex wife says it like that. Id ask what the berkeley melk was whenever she butchered it.

Even the natives of Wilkes-Barre cant agree on how to pronounce it. Ive asked many people if its Wilkes-"Bar", Wilkes-"Bear", or Wilkes-"Berry" and never get a clear answer. All 3 seem to be accepted equally. Ive been using "Berry".
Don't forget wilkes-bear-a, heard that one lots too. I usually say wilkes-bear, I think. I don't really think of it.

Also, "dee-cal" vs "dekal". That one just sounds weird to the opposing tribe.
Dekal just makes me think of Beldar Conehead.
Granted, boiled peanuts have to be eaten fresh and hot.

I wasn't crazy about balled peanuts. Must be a regional taste, like the dialect.
I prefer my peanuts ground into buttuh. I don't do it as bad as my grandmother did but words with "oi" in them were changed to "ur" like toilet to turlet and oil to url.

Hey, I resemble that remark! Nobody from NJ gives a crap about New Ark, so I assume you're from the Delawhur area. Hit me up!

I know boiled peanuts are a Southern thing, but I can't imagine why you'd want to eat them that way. Hell, I'm not even clear if they're boiled with or without the shells. Put me in the "roasted and crunchy" peanuts camp.

I've been in the south a few times, but never crossed paths with a boiled peanut. I'd certainly try them if I had the opportunity!

Look to the side of the road, that guy with a table sitting next to his van, he has them.

He'll be right next to the guy selling hammocks.
Does boiled peanuts = goober peas?
