The Long Kiss Goodnight. Love it. Unrealistic super spy type characters appeal to me. Geena Davis appeals to me. Sam Jackson is the coolest motherberkeleyer on the planet.

I unabashedly love the F&F franchise and will watch any of them if they pop up on the TV. Even Tokyo Drift. I'm sure being 15 when the first one came out is a big part of that.
Birdman sucked ass.
I've never seen a Woody Allen movie and I don't care to.
I've never seen Predator and am sad that I can't find it on a streaming platform.
Born in 79,
1/ funniest movies are Blazing Saddles, Airplane and Life of Brian.
2/ most watched movie is Ace Ventura Pet Detective; yeah, I said it. That E36 M3 is funny
3/ most overrated movie that really really sucks is.... well, most well rated movies. Are the reviewers watching the same movie?
4/ most underrated for me is Inception and Minority Report. Both nailed it (my opinion)
5/ I gave up on movies, haven't been to a theater besides kids movies since Phantom Menace. Don't see myself ever going again except maybe for some kids movies.
So on page 3 we can all agree that Better Off Dead is not to be spoken of in a disparaging tone right?

Oh, man. I really loved that movie when I was 18. I tried to show it to my wife a couple of years ago (probably 15 years after I first watched it)...and it doesn't quite hold up as well as I'd hoped. Still funny, but it's pretty clear the director had crazy ADHD and complete control.
The Korean guy imitating Howard Cosell still slays me, though.
I have a few.
1- any movie with Ed Norton or Mark Wahlburg is going to be a decent movie to me.
2- I love all the Kevin Smith movies, well maybe Jersey Girl was a stinker but Clerks, Mall Rats, Dogma, Clerks 2 and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back are cinema genius.
3- South Park the movie is a musical power house. I sing the songs in my head all the time. I can't wait to teach my kids the swearing rehabilitation song. "Step 1 instead of ass say buns, like kiss my buns and your a buns hole.."
My all-time favorite no one else likes it movie is Corvette Summer. Annoys the hell outta my wife.
I've seen every Godzilla movie "in the suit" at least 5 times and have most on VHS.
Wrath of Kahn is the best Star Trek movie if only for Ricardo Mantalban.
Kung Fu Panda makes me laugh until I can't breathe. Jack Black kills it as Po.
I love Meatballs.
I've never seen a Harry Potter film nor read any of the books.
Rush is an awesome film.
I saw Game of Death in the theater at age 10(?) and will never pass up an opportunity to watch a Bruce Lee film.
Heath Ledger was other worldly as the Joker. But The Joker with Juaquin Phoenix still has me thinking. Like that whole movie is, to me, an under the radar masterpiece of deception and mind berkeley.
The Art of Racing in the Rain was a let down. I thoroughly enjoyed Ford versus Ferrari despite some of the inconsistencies and stretching of truth.
What's our favorite aviation movie or scene? It doesn't necessarily have to be themed around flying, just a really good flight. I mentioned Strategic Air Command. The B-36 and B-47 in all their high altitude glory. BAT-21. Great character study between just 2 men. The only forward air control movie yet made. The Memphis Belle. Pure propaganda, yes. But it didn't shy away from showing B-17s spiraling out of control. 1990s Memphis Belle. Its every bit of cliche that the original wasn't, but damn, the cinematography.
Born in 78.
Rocky Horror Picture Show is awful. 2 hours of my life I will never get back.
E.T. Sucks.
Indiana Jones movies are terrible.
Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein are funny as hell. Blazing Saddles is about ignorant white people but folks are too busy being recreationally offended to notice.

The Great Waldo Pepper has some very good aerial work. Probably the most impressive to me is the outside loop attempt scene that any aviation shot could easily follow: Show the pilot view from behind the pilot, stick to that view, have ONLY the sound from the plane! (I cannot find it on YouTube)
Another great scene. The first shot of Always. A number of cool A26 shots in that movie also.
Many movies nowadays give me whiplash, jumping from scene to scene and back and forth too fast. I think one of the recent Star Wars was a huge culprit of this.
The Lord of the Rings series is extremely overrated.
Master and Commander is criminally underrated.
Slap Shot, Caddyshack, Animal House, Month Python and the Holy Grail, Blazing Saddles, and Galaxy Quest are all in the running for funniest movie ever.
Slap Shot is the best sports movie of all time, unless you count Caddyshack a sports movie.
The Blues Brothers is the finest musical ever.
The Great Escape is superb.
I will watch Bill Murray sit on a couch and drink a cup of coffee and enjoy it.
I will watch anything by Wes Anderson or the Coen brothers.
Clint Eastwood is good at looking like he just tasted moldy coffee, and that's all he has. But he does it really well.
Forrest Gump and Shawshank Redemption are extremely good movies, but overrated. I'll still watch them 1,000 times.

+1 on this. Total classic and great musical.
Spaceballs is funny, but it is a period piece and it never was hilarious on the level of BS or YF.
Forrest Gump was a horrible book and even worse movie. Hours of epic stupidity - and I don't mean Forrest. I regret every minute I ever spent even thinking about it, including this post.

I LOVE that movie, but haven't seen it in forever. I'll have to see if I can find it this evening.

Don't make me waste more moments of my life I'll regret wasting.
<Dammit.>

Yes.
'Search for the Holy Grail' gets all the nerd cred, but Life of Brian is absolutely their best work and the best satire.
Whenever I see someone complain - particularly on the internet - about how evil the society or system or whatever is, I always think of this scene.

Don't do it! It didn't hold up for me at all. "I want my two dollars"
