Hey, GRM family. Long time lurker, seldom do I post. A wise man told me to listen more than speak. I am looking for the low-down on LS Fest East. Basically I am trying to make the trip from Tampa FL on a shoestring budget. I have done some research and have come to find that you can't tent camp, but camping is available. Is there somewhere I could park and sleep? Basically I am trying to see if I can do this thing for about $500. Thats flight, rental car and lodging...or reclining seat in a Chevy spark... If anyone has been and can give me a few pointers on how to see this thing on the cheap it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Tmaxx94
Ive never been to LS Fest, but have been to Beech Bend many times over.
Camping- while none is “allowed” inside, the campground is directly next to the track.
You can get a room anywhere on Scottsville Rd for fairly cheap. I’d probably do that if I was serious shoestring on the last night I would be there. There probably are places along that same road to park and sleep but in a Spark? You must love torture.
Food- plenty of chains where the prices are the same are in town and down Scottsville Rd or the bypass.

Sounds like a wise man that raised me with this philosophy. I was always told my ears should be bigger than my mouth. That mindset has served me well in life.
Anyhow I have no experience with the LS Fest but am to curious about it and if it can be done at or close to your budget? Please keep us updated if possible?
Where is it? I'm in Montgomery Al, if you like maybe we can carpool from here?
I'm local to the Bowling Green area and try to go almost every year. Can't really help on the camping/hotel front since I live 45 minutes from the track and haven't needed it. Roughly Every fast food chain you can think of is close by, there's also a decent bbq place on 31 you'll pass on the way to Beech Bend. My favorite taco joint, Mex Out, is also on that side of town to. As far as the actual event goes I can't find the info on their site at the moment but Beech Bend usually charges $12 per day to get in at the gate if I remember right, or something like $25 if you get a 3 day pass. If you go over to check out the antics at NCM Motorsports park, they haven't been charging admission at all the past couple times I've been there. Most of the event is at Beech Bend though.
I'll probably be there as a spectator again this year at least one of the days.
