Sorry, should be "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"

Huh so R2D2 and Chewbacca are in it...it'll be most interesting to see how the Sith character manages to avoid maiming him (or her?) self with that light saber
In reply to GameboyRMH:
So is Han Solo. The original one.
Which suggests this one takes place roughly 30 year after the previous one.
Wonder who plays Luke.

IMDB says Luke is Mark Hamill again. No reason for him to be replaced if Harrison is back.

They also say that Carrie Fisher will be back as Leia, as well.
The gang is back together.
So many questions.
For one, who's looking at Darth Vadar's mask? And, of course, I'm assuming its his. Maybe someone else had the same model. Look, more questions.
This trailer isn't as stressful as the original one, but it still looks cool. JG and I will be there, likely with an empty seat between us--you know, to hold our popcorn and stuff.

The fact that you didn't already know that means I have to take several Nerd Points away from you.
Couldn't be more excited for this.
I can't wait. It will also be cool to be able to take my kids to see it. Hopefully it will be something close to the experience for them that seeing A New Hope was for me.

Man I hope you can't overdose on optimism
Awesome! My daughter has already informed me that we'll be having a Star Wars marathon this weekend.
Can't wait!

That would have been even more awesome if that was ALF with Han.
You probably knew that BB8 was a real robot puppet, but if you thought he seems to be defying gravity in the new trailer...you were right:

Clearly the "head" doesn't just balance on top of the "ball" part, I'm guessing it's magnetically attached to a counterbalance inside the ball.
I'm pretty excited about this one. The kids have see all but #3 (because they went a bit overboard on that one for kids) and they just watched the trailer with me. Pretty cool.
SPOILER ALERT
One of the fun things about having a side business selling things to people in the film industry is you occasionally get to talk to folks who worked on various projects that interest you greatly, and pick up a bit of inside info. If what I've heard is reliable, there's real, meaty narrative to these new stories. Not the convoluted trade disputes and intergalactic C-SPAN mumblings of the prequels.
So here's a few things to think about from this new trailer:
A bunch of stormtroopers in front of a red and black flag with... wait, that's not the old imperial insignia on it. Is there still a central empire? Obviously the war didn't end when the second Death Star blew up.
John Boyega's character is shown both in stormtrooper armor and running from stormtrooper fire. Sounds like things didn't work out too well for him at his new job.
Hey, was that TIE Fighter in the docking bay shooting up other TIEs and imperials? Wonder why?
Han and Chewie are "home" on the Falcon? Where were they? Where was the Falcom if not with them? What have they been driving around in?
It really needs to be December soon. Although Mad Max and the Avengers should do a fine job of making the summer bearable.

Sadly for me Jack will only be just a year old so a little young. I can remember seeing Return of the Jedi in the theater and I was just 3.

FWIW, Mark Hamill is the same age now, that Alec Guiness was for A New Hope.
Opening scene "Oh, is that, yes, that is an abandoned(crashed) X-wing! OH E36 M3, a crashed Star Destroyer in the background."
Time off will be taken. I will drive the 90 minutes for IMAX. Thankfully the mall with the IMAX also has an indoor kart track among other attractions. I anticipate that to be my best day of the year.
