In reply to JG Pasterjak: If Dalton doesn't recover they are pretty much out of the hunt.
In fairness, I wrote that before Dalton went down. Cindy is getting hurt and New England is getting healed, which pretty much puts them back in the driver's seat.
The sports romantic in me would love to see Manning go into a Superbowl as a backup, only to come in for an injured Ossweiler and rip the game a new ass one last time before walking away. That would be an Elway-level finish, and although it'll probably never happen I think the guy deserves it.
Carolina is good, but I think Arizona is every bit as good. The Cards have played the tougher schedule by far.
And don't forget the Cheifs, who have won seven in a row...

I stand corrected on the Seahawks struggling for the entire season...
Let's see how they do with their first two choices at RB broken for the foreseeable future.
I bet they wish they has Turbin still instead of him playing for the Cowboys. Having to use the backup backup running back didn't seem to be a problem for them last week against the Ravens.

Really Cincinnati? ?
The Dumb was really breathtaking at the end of that game. And Burfict needs to sit out some games next year.

Hey! Turns out it was the Steelers.
Congrats to Marvin for breaking Jim Mora's record
30 yds of penalties with no time on the clock ... well done guys

That was one of the most edge of your seat games I've ever witnessed. Way to go Bengals. Never have I seen a team work that hard to win a game and then piss it away by being stupid. Epic, epic tv. Football is way more fun to watch when the opponents really hate each other.

I'm glad I didn't watch that game. I'm heading to Minneapolis today, but not until after the game.
Hoping to watch a good game today.
Is it possible that the Lions are no longer the holders of the "Most Stupid Team in Football" title?

Sadly, we still need to wait until they do something significant. Like make the playoffs more often than once every 20 years.
Not to say what the bungles did last night was not really, really stupid- it was. But with our history, well, there's some room to be made up.
Dumb penalties to lose a playoff game vs. hiring Matt Millen? Not even close.

Definitely a fun/painful game to watch.
Now the Chiefs at the Patriots next week. THAT should be interesting... I actually think New England may be the underdog in this one...
Jim Schwartz is on the rumor list for Cleveland's head coaching slot.

Any conversation about dumb NFL teams MUST include the Browns.
So how about playing football at -8F (that's -22 for our CFL fans).
Kinda cold.
Funny that the pundits say that the Vikings have some kind of advantage as they play in Minnesota. But none of them actually play in this cold weather. Not to say that Seattle can deal with it, but thanks to the rarity of this weather in games- the "advantage" is pretty minor.
Harsh for the fans- since they get to stand still for 4 hours.
Maybe playing inside is not a bad idea for the Vikings. (outside for the gophers isn't as bad- their last home game is in November)

Won't matter how cold it gets, there will still be a fan or two without a shirt on. At least the beer stays cold.
I had flashbacks to Sam Wyche with his "you don't live in Cleveland" PA system speech last night...
And I also saw 2 hits that looked like criminal assault.

Exactly. You want that crown? Come and take it from us! But first you have to have an 0-16 season. Until then, you aren't in the conversation.

I don't have a horse in this race, I'm an Eagles fan. But he's proven time and again how much of a punk he is.
Burfict deserved that call at several points in the game. Running the intercepted "game" ball back to his locker just to lose after made me laugh. The bengals and there fans cheering at injurys deserved that loss. Teams a disgrace too the nfl. Bengals fans have replaced steelers fans as thr biggest E36 M3 talkers around here.
As a ravens fan ill be hoping pitt loses next week.
He berkeleying missed it!

The steelers hate is strong in Cincy. Some dude got peed on at the game.

And there was that radio commercial warning the people of cinncinnatti that big Ben was around and to be on the lookout for sexual assault. That game took it to an entirely new level. I was expecting to see players at midfield with bats and broken beer bottles afterwards.
The berk Minnesota!
Based on the first three games, Washington is about to get shellaced...
