I'm pretty sure that would have had the GMC 305 ci V6 originally. IMO, it would be worth putting one back in if its not all hacked up. I've worked on a few '70's vintage XL sized forklifts that use them, its a very stout and smooth engine. Kind of like a Ford 300 I6 with a bit of attitude.

Up here, that would have likely had a 292 inline 6. I'm not sure they ever sold the V6 in Canada. I've never seen one, anyway.

Tennessee has a very easy re-titling process for vehicles older than (IIRC) 30 years old and with a selling price under $3000. You just need to find someone who has a residence in TN to get the title for you.

That said...its hard to tell if the seller is shady, or just doesn't want to deal with the DMV. That truck could be stolen.
