I was once called bullE36 M3 by a 20 something year old in a new AMG. This was because he couldn't figure out why we had coned our parking lot off and put a "Parking Lot Full" sign up and I didn't let him in. I had to just walk away from so I didn't start laughing where he could see me.

On each occasion I've seen a Gallardo, it's been illegally parked.

Where I live, driving at least 10 km/h below the limit & braking at the slightest hint of a corner, all with fog lights blazing in broad daylight, seems to be a trait reserved for late model Corolla drivers.

redneck trucks are the BIGGEST offenders. ESPECIALLY the diesels that spew black smoke (im sorry, I really think that should be illegal)

i have encountered a share of people in new landrovers.

Fixed that for you. While returning home from Atlanta last week on my sportbike I was tailgated exactly 5 times, all by women in minivans.

One was somehow smoking with her left hand (smoke out the window) while talking on her phone with her right at 85+mph with kids in the back.

Another was only chatting on the phone while driving, but she was less than 2 car-lengths back at 105mph with 4 kids in the back, 3 in car seats, and she wouldn't pass or back off no matter what I did. I seriously weighed the consequences of that tumble down the road in full gear and helmet vs. teaching her a lesson with a brake check.

NISSANS. No joke...everytime I see someone riding my tail, being impatient, cutting lanes without blinkers - it's a Nissan. Not the small ones, but Maximas, Altimas, 350Z's and Titans. And Armadas.

Actually he has now revised that to Audi drivers instead of BMW drivers.

And not all Porsche drivers are, I know quite a few that have the cars because they are fun, do all their own wrenching on them and are damn good drivers and nice people. Just because ya can't afford one doesn't automatically make someone that has one an arsehole.

By me, anyone driving any kind of Vitara drives like an idiot. When you see one, you give it extra room. I don't know why idiots are so attracted to those vehicles. Probably because the later models are the epitome of an offroad-incapable pseudo-SUV.

Of course watching out for Escalade and H2 drivers is standard stuff...although those behemoths have mostly been taken off the road by the gas prices now Sadly, now they've resorted to turning innocent Pajero IOs and...guess what...Vitaras into cruddy pimpmo-SUVs. Painted black with bigass chrome rims and rubber band tires. So when you see those you watch out.

Also an international standard, anyone who looks like they can't decide if they want their vehicle to be a pickup/SUV or a sports car is a sure sign of SEVERE idiocy...and ricers are ricers anywhere you go.

There aren't any instances of eco-jackassery here because there's no environmental awareness here. Just NONE. It's really hard to explain or understand.

Id rather an arsehole in a Prius than one in an Escalade, only because when he does something dumb, I have a better chance against him.

Probably the number one arsehole car around where i live is the magnum/charger/300 rwd mopars. I didnt mind those cars when they came out, but after seeing the type of people that drive them, I very much dilsike them. Escalades, any BMW less than 5 years old, any honda with appearance mods, and any mercedes over 100k would be the other choices.

Mercedes, BMW, and Volvo cars seem to be the worst around here. Honorable mention goes to the clapped out 20+ year old cars belching pollutants and most likely being driven by the "undocumented workers."

For trucks, I've got to go with redneck trucks (lifted and/or modded diesels) and their working cousin the wrecker. Honorable mention goes to teh clapped out 20+ year old trucks belching pollutants and most likely being driven by the "undocumented workers."

I spend most my time in a green tofu town. The main SUV asshats are cornell students, with IC students in second.

Back when my father drove my Honda, the muffler fell off somewhere in ithaca. Several days later, someone left it sitting on the trunk with a note about litering and something about the cops being called. these are the asshats I deal with on an almost daily basis.

as for the vettes and other sports cars being driven 5 under, is, IMOH, they are ticket magnets, so lets not give the cops any reason to go after us.

Having grown up in a Jersey shore town I must say the worst drivers are.. just about everyone on vacation. My hometown population goes from about 15,000 in the winter to over 130,000 in the summer. The place is a zoo. What you get are suburbanite type drivers who are all of a sudden thrown into a crowded urban setting with pedestrians, bicyclists, and MANY interesections. Talk about babes in the woods. On top of this they are in their vacation mindset, usually don't have a clue as to where they are going, and you get the pompous yuppie rich folk (I grew up in one of the nicer towns). It takes me 2x-3x as long to get anywhere as it does in the offseason. Also everything costs a premium due to business owners gouging tourists.. and they wonder why the locals have "attitudes" sometimes.

(yes it's been a long day)

So when I travel, I make sure that I know where the heck I'm going ahead of time, go with the flow of traffic, and give plenty of room to the locals.

I just saw a dude in a new Vette, 50-ish, wearing loafers with no socks. Thats so funny. Its weird, BMW folks seem to be the coolest at events, meaning they are actually down to earth and arrived at BMW's after driving all manner of other cars. I don't personally notice the new ones on the road much, they blend in with everything else.

People in minivans is my vote, they are always a problem no matter what they are doing. Either they are in your way and won't move or speed up, or they are mysteriously on your a$$ trying to do 90 on 2 lanes of HWy with a construction zone 1 mile ahead.

I've been noticing for a while that the world class butt munchers of driving tend to own the Prius. My guess is that they know they are better then you, and drive according to their royal rights. You, a mere peasant, are expected to grovel and submit to their might.

Not always true, I think part of that problem is that most of them are just morons and daydreaming about what new designer purse they are going to purchase next.

Generalizations generally make the people making them look stupid. Any, huh, Dwight? Like my wife, who, as an EMT for 13 years was a trained ambulance driver, has been a successful autocrosser, and has owned a number of Range Rovers (including our "new" '01 4.6 HSE)?

I've found that arseholes drive any kind of vehicle imaginable, including classic Minis.

I always wondered about people who choose to live in tourist towns that complain abot the tourists. That's like people buying houses next to racetracks and airports and complaining about the noise.

The car of choice in NYC and Long Island seems to be a white Nissan Maxima. If a car full of young men is going to be weaving through traffic about 20 mph faster than the flow of traffic and jumping from lane to lane without signaling, it will almost always be a white Max.

I don't know about a-holes, but in my experience the drivers of Lexus R-series SUVs are the most likely to be completely oblivious as to whats going on around them on the road.

I'm waiting for the GRM folks to chime in about Florida. The only state that has it's own tag on fark.com, a weird news site.

My bro lived in Daytona while going to school. He talked about the "slow races" all the time. That's when two cars piloted by the elderly go as slow as possible right beside each other blocking all lanes of traffic.

had a run in with one of these people over by the galleria this weekend. lady was unhappy that i didint let her in after she came shooting up from behind and nearly hit me trying to "nose in" in front of me. i guess she thought that since she overpaid for her c-class merc she was better than me in my mazda. she got quite upset when i blocked her out and the car behind me did the same. she came charging up behind me flashing her brights after the next light, planning to ride my ass. so with her closing at over 30mph i gave her the ole brake check and i hear the sound of a full abs tire squealing stop. at the next light she pulls right up on my bumper and is fuming. this is when i notice that she's not only not alone, but has her husband with her and 8-10year old son in the back seat! so when the light turns green i give it the beans and leave her behind, planning to turn right at the next light, but i get caught behind a car in the right lane and have to wait for green, she does the same thing at this light, and then when i turn right, i hear her hammer on it, ya know, just to show me how much of a hardass she is.

Pretty much any 80s model full size RWD with 24 inch rims. Or beat up older Lexus or Infinity models with a "pay by the week" car sales driveout tag. Seeing either of those on an Atlanta roadway almost guarantees schmuckery.

Following close behind are sport bikes, especially if 2 or more are in the same stretch of road within sight of each other. I know I will eventually see one go down, and it won't be pretty.

That's not a Florida problem, that's an old person problem, experienced wherever there's no requirement for senior citizen driving tests.
