Almost lost my Ti to a careless smoker today.
I was up visiting family in PA for easter and came home today. On the way I stopped at the Ikea and Home Depot in Conshohockin (however it is spelled). Got out of Ikea, dropped my stuff in the hatch and walked over to HD.
Coming out of HD, there are fireengines, police, and smoke everywhere near my car.. I get up to it and the police stop me.. had to hand over the keys so they could roll it out of the way.. seems a careless smoker dropped a butt into the mulch bed and set the whole thing aflame.
no damage to the car (other than an overwhelming smell of burnt mulch.. but I did get the third degree from a cop. Seems he thought I had done it because it was right next to my car. Took three times for me to finally get it through his head that I am a non-smoker.
Reason 1372, for being a non smoker.

hate it when I'm on the bike and get butts flicked out the window. isn't there a $500 fine for littering on US highways?

Had a guy in an Avalon clogging up the left lane on I-94 on my way home toss a but at me. I take a lot of offense at that when I am in the miata with the top down. In the WRX I still didn't like it at all, but didn't take it as personally.
Glad your Ti lived to tell. That would've been a terrible way for it to go.
I hate women, one cut me off yesterday while I was driving and I almost ran into her car.
She was driving an Elantra.
Nah, if she had an Elantra she would be to smart to waste her health and money on something as stupid as ciggarettes
