Lawyers burn people all the time....in court. Seriously though, I hope that woman is able to recover. I feel terrible for her and her family.
That part that got me was where she was SITTING AT THE KITCHEN TABLE ON FIRE when the firemen arrived.
Well that was Hastings.
It has been cold this winter, I thought her butt needed warming.
As she lay there on the ER table she thought.""The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire! We don't need no water let that mother berkeleyer burn. Burn mother berkeleyer BURN!!!!" I finally know what those words mean"

..she woke up on the couch engulfed in flames... then walked over to the table...
All joking aside, that's terrible. Burning to death has to be the worst way to go. But a few things stood out to me.
They live in Burnsville. Oh my.
In the 120000 block of Parkwood drive. I wonder who lives at 123456 Parkwood Drive
She was sitting at the table? Not running and screaming, or rolling around, or in the shower?
A month in a coma??
Can his punishment be that he has to be set on fire?
Even more importantly, can they prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, he did it.
She told police Gherity was still there when she fell asleep on the couch and when she woke up he was gone and the place was on fire.
Where are the eye witnesses? Is there proof? Who is to say she didn't set the fire to get him arrested? She was drunk and loaded with pills, he left because she was acting crazy... If I was the defense, that's the direction I would lead the jury.
