Yea I meant it well. I'm just cheesed that I can't find a plum like this. I have a few years to retirement and and am getting real tired of the BS hassle. But the pay check is reaaalllll nice.

Congrats Brad. Good to see you going places and making things happen.

I will give them to my bossI'm guessing you need to know at least a little about F cars? Being in Atlanta would definitely exacerbate my auto addiction... I could live with that
Yep, need to know alittle about F cars. Majority of the stuff is 308 stuff. Get some Testarossa requests, Mondials, 365 GTB4 (Daytonas) C4s, 330 GTC's, ect. Just need to know the characteristics of the cars.
Paul & Brad - damn dudes, you guys are both rocking. It's nice to see friends who are well qualified in their fields finally get the positions they deserve.

No kidding. Well done! I'm actually considering applying for another job, so I may be joining the ranks soon!
I detailed all of the Ferrari models you mentioned on a daily basis, and drove them to golf courses for photo shoots back in the late 80's. Got ragged on a lot by the other guys at work because my favorite was the 330 GTC. Probably not enough to get the job, but I'd move to Atlanta in a heartbeat for this kind of job!!
Well, I am flying out this Saturday to work a week to get a handle on what I'm gonna be working with. Gonna come back for the holidays and work my last week at the Ferrari parts store.
If I decide that I don't like what I see in Texas, I can come home and pick up where I left off here at the Ferrari parts and wipe my hands clean of the Trans Am stuff. More than likely, I'm gonna take the Trans Am gig.

What kind(s) of cars are you rebuilding? Sounds fun! It is a lot of work, but (at least in my experience) can be very rewarding.
I would caution you on the instability of racing (and the fact that a job can go away at a moment's notice) but it sounds like you're getting involved with a good stable platform (of other businesses)...so that's a real plus.
Enjoy!
Clem
P.S...also sent you a PM/Email.

I went out to Texas about 2 weeks ago to wrench on a car that hit the wall at Road Atlanta. I spent the week in Bob's RV at his house and would walk next door into the shop and work for the week.
Flew back to Atlanta to finish out the month at the Ferrari Parts shop. My official last day here at the Ferrari gig is Friday. I will spend the weekend packing some of the clothes I have and hanging out with the girlfriend and daughter. Monday morning, I'm hittin' the road West. Should get there late Monday night.
I will try and log in and post as much as possible. First race of the season in March 1st in Sebring, so I gotta have 4 (maybe 5) cars ready and packed on a truck before then.
Congrats, man! I was going to ask how the "test drive" went on the other thread, but I forgot. How much got done before you had to get back to ATL? (And here's hoping freshening the unwrecked ones won't be as bad.. )

I got the rear clip cut and new one welded in. The bodywork was basically laid on top, needs to be rivited in. The new LS3s were sent to the machine shop to have the heads milled and as soon as I get there, I've gotta build two of them. New con rods, cam, dry sump pan, hardware, ect.
4 other cars still have to be prepped on top of the one I was wrenching on. Bob says he wants to go testing in a month or so.
