The basics were in Findlay, the Mercedes set was in palmyra pa.
It was the only hot wheels in that Walmart, the only one. They said a guy came in with a cart and bought every single car off the shelves. Missed this since it was on the shelf behind you as you look at the hot wheels. I was stoked to find it
There has to be a way to take a given Hot Wheel, strip the paint and then put on a custom historic livery... I wonder if you could sell decal sets for such an application.
You guys are lucky. Last couple times I've checked out Target and Wal Mart, the shelves have been 100% wiped out.

There are a few YouTubes channels that do just that. Baremetal HW is a good place to start.
While my Matchbox collection is strictly Porsche related, I couldn't leave this Alfa on the shelf...it just sits on my desk instead of with the others :)
Went to the flea market today in town, first time in about a year...one vendor JUST sells toy cars.
Picked up 3 for ten bucks, one is a gift, the two p-cars Im keeping for me.

I've been seeing ads on History Channel about "The Toys that Built America". Next Sunday's show is about Hot Wheels.
Grabbed these at Kroger:
Walmart and Dollar General have both been completely out the last few weeks.
Saw these at Meijer while out running errands this morning. Don't think I've seen the 2nd gen RX7 in this color before.
Bought this pack at the local used book/media store.
Seven bucks. I was only truly interested in the LM Porsche (dont know chassis number/code), but it's got some gift-worthy things in it.

Ohhh, I'm gonna NEED that RX-7. My FC was that color.

I'll keep my eyes out for another in case you can't find one locally.
