Recent Hotwheels scores

I picked up this display case from Amazon.  Did not realize it has Initial D innuendoes.  My 17 year old daughter loves to watch Initial D, so I said lets dig through some totes and find cars that resemble Initial D.  She is stoked to have this!  She even got to open the packages like they were new!

I refurbished and re-purposed an old damaged display case.  A bit of paint and a new clear cover and it was ready to install.  

• Top row: TV cars
• 2nd row: Civic Type R's
• 3rd row: more Civic's
• Middle row:  These are Indy cars that were on our groom cake when we got married in 1996.  Did not realize I still had these.  Plus, this gives the misses a reason to allow the display.
• 5th row: German cars from the 80's
• 6th row: Old Toyota's
• Bottom row:  Assortment, but has a Capri and an X-1/9 both of which I formerly owned.

Finally got a second set of bimmers

The Civic Custom is right up our alley and begs for detailing and wheel swaps.

Picked up a few GRMish cars at Walmart this weekend to send out for the NYG.

Picked these up over the weekend, except for the Panoz.  That one came from EBay. 

FINALLY! For six years now (since just before my daughter Elise was born) I've been looking for Lotus Elise cars in the HotWheels section of every store I visit. FINALLY HotWheels is selling them at large! I'm buying every one I see! 

Once in a blue moon, you can find a deal at an antique store.  Vauxhall Guildsman from 1971 in really good condition.  I've seen these on ebay for some crazy prices, but this one was $12. This was my favorite Matchbox car when I was a kid (and the reason my competition number is 40 when I have the choice), so I had to buy it.

I had no choice but to break my race car only rule for the wagon.   I really didn't need the Panoz, I have the Hall of Fame one but it was cheap enough.
