Marty Robins
Glen Campbell
Don Williams
You can take it from there.
Give "Fitz and the Tantrums" a listen. Other than that I agree with Otto - put your bands in Pandora (or LastFM) and see what similar stuff gets spit out.

Split Lip Rayfield
Old Crow Medicine Show

Was at an acoustic jam last friday, and we ended up doing "Love you tonight" (williams) and about 20 minutes of Marty Robins. Great night.
I'm listening to Greely's Reel right now. They're basically an Irish Trad band out of St. John's, Newfoundland. Their acapella version of "Barrett's Privateers" is a real toe-tapper. Or is that jigger?

Shoot, pour me a glass of something aged in charred oak barrels and I'd be in hog heaven

That's RAD.
I love how Japanese musicians can immerse themselves in a genre and replicate it perfectly.

you're gonna like what you're gonna like... if your brain wants metal, then give it metal. if it want's generic bubbly pop country, then give it Taylor Swift.. if it wants something else, give it something else.. it's not like you have to only listen to one style of music, and there's a lot of other stuff to get all worried about....
i noticed that few people have mentioned Mumford and Sons.. i don't know anything about their music, but every time i see a reference to them i kind of giggle inside a little bit because the name of the company that used to (and still does) all the garbage pickup in the town where i grew up is called "Mumford and Sons". they are one of the few family owned waste companies in that part of MN that haven't either been bought out or pushed out of business by Waste Management...
if you feel like listening to hardcore punk, i'll take advantage of shameless self-promotion
rock/punk Red Fox
hardcore/doom metal Night Terror
hardcore Truncheon
if you like any of it I'll be more than happy to send out mp3s, and if you are actually interested I also have vinyl and cassettes that I'd be happy to give to fellow GRMers
