He also played Chalmers, the slimy DA in Bullit. I was a huge Man From U.N.C.L.E. fan when I was a kid. Sayonara, sir.
Napoleon Solo, RIP
(And more recently he did late night commercials for ambulance-chasing law firms, but we won't hold that against him. Ya gotta make a buck, even in retirement).
Aww. Big fan of his work in "Hustle." If you haven't seen that it's an amazing show, at least the first three series. And even more pertanent today than when it was on the air.
Mostly knew him from the Young Philadelphians and Buillit. Not previously aware of Hustle, but I'm going to check that out.
I remember having a Man from U.N.C.L.E. brief case when I was a kid. Had some "spy" stuff in it that I largely don't remember, but I do remember it had a plastic gun that you could shoot through a hole while still in the brief case. Needless to say, I was a big (well, little) fan. RIP.
