No day off for me, who else is earning thier pay today?
Well, I'm at work but I'm not exactly sure that I'm earning my pay. Right now there paying me to surf the GRM boards.
I was given the day off. This is the most relaxing weekend I have ever had! I didn't even work on the car this weekend.
I worked the 4th, but have the 5th off. Why, on a day that should be associated with grilling hot dogs and hamburgers, should so many people feel/felt the need to order pizzas? I'll never know.
not.... (would have .. need to catch up on some delinquent orders) but the plant's closed for the whole weekend
Most of the stuff I need to do today involves gov't agencies, so I don't guess I'll be getting much done.
Damn shame, eh?

We were pretty slow, didnt sell many pizzas.

I'm half-working. No need to be in the office, but there are always things in need of doing. I'm hoping to split the day up by writing in the morning and wrenching in the afternoon. If I'm well behaved, I might carve out some time to play some Forza later.
Count me in…First, I’ve got a quick flight from Burbank to Scottsdale at 11:30. Than I’ll spend about four hours at one of our facilities setting up for what I’ll be doing next week. Than, I’ll spend about another fours hours in my hotel room getting ready for what I’ll be doing the week after that. This comes after spending about eight hours between Saturday & Sunday lost in e-mail hell. All totaled, lets say I’ll have racked up about eighteen hours (salary…no extra moola) working for the man on my three day weekend.
But it’s cool…I’ve got the world’s best boss (I’d take a bullet for her), I absolutely love my job (I actually get paid to geek out on math / science stuff to save lives), & real unemployment here in California is around eighteen percent (I’ve got the standard wife, two kids, & a mortgage to be responsible for) so again…it’s cool.
We pulled the starter in the school bus now off to my buddys salvage yard to shoot the breeze and bench test
I'm not "working", but I did have to show up today. Yippee for no customers and working on commision!
Me! We are crazy busy too. Just now I have a customer watching me type this instead of writing up a work order for him.
I'm kind of falling into the pizza deal today. At 3 I've got to be in town for an interview/orientation. I used to work at the same pizza place 5 years ago so the interview part is pretty much a formality, thus the orientation part being done at the same time. The great news is that I not going to be sitting around the house all day not collecting unemployment. The bad news is that I'm not likely to get enough hours to cover very many bills. Hopefully I be making enough to help stretch the GF's savings until the fall semester starts up and then our financial aid from us being in school will cover all the bills until January.
