Australian I think... Socks with sandals are a pretty universal sin amongst northen-European descended types though.

This is amazing. A good friend of mine back in Charlotte used to wear strap on tevas and white gym socks all year round JUST to annoy people.

I like tevas but I hate it when I get my feet sunburnt. Socks with my tevas prevent the sunburn.

On a related topic... never, ever weld in sandals. Now I have to wear socks to cover the scars.

I fail to understand sandals, so its not a problem for me. I have also sat on beaches in Mexico and Waikiki in blue jeans and shoes. Being so white as to be almost translucent, I expose no skin to the sun that I don't have to.

It's hard to believe anyone EVER wears socks with sandals, but then again maybe some people don't own mirrors.

I find that usually when you see that it's someone from a climate where sandals aren't common and so when they put them on they just naturally add socks.

The only time I wear socks with sandals is when I walk to the public bathroom and I dont feel like strapping on the sneakers.

It is actually a common look among hockey directors/coaches. In and out of skates all day, like the comfort of sandals at the desk but it is cold in an ice rink.

I've worn socks with sandals. I'm a Floridian, and in the Summer, I hate shoes. Often once cooler weather comes, I don't want to give up open shoes, so I wear socks with my sandals until I resign myself to the horrors of closed shoes.

In the high school I teach at the English department and the social studies department has a number who do the jesus sneaker/sock look. Me, only around the house.

hmmm.. I have never worn sandals. bare feet, Flipflops (to go get mail) and hiking boots... and if I have to dress up, dress shoes

Sandals nine months a year is the best thing about Florida hands down.

I know people like that. One of the guys at work ALWAYS uses google to get to a website.. even if he knows the address. If he wanted to go to Youtube, he would go to google first and type in youtube rather than just the address
