Sperlo and the rest, happy Solstice. The days get a bit longer now.
The winter blues I get in NC aren't nearly as bad as those I used to get in upstate NY but they still do happen and just knowing the days are starting to get longer is going to help.

I agree with Brett … but I also know that the cold of winter still hasn't gotten here … so even if the days are starting to lengthen, it's still a while before I get to start playing outdoors again but I'm also
It takes about another 5-6 weeks here before I notice the days lengthening. Go to work in the dark, come home in the dark...sunrise at 9:14, sunset 4:56 today. Once it gets short of 8:00am, I start paying attention

One of my favorite days since the days get longer for the next six months.

I berkeleying hate winter. I don't care what time it gets light or dark, I care when the snow goes away.

You're living in the wrong state. May I suggest a state that looks like America's penis.

Trust me, I have been lamenting my parents failure at birthing me in the snowbelt for as long as I can remember. I have made some...unfortunate choices in my marriage and subsequent offspring that are large mitigating factors preventing my moving south of the mason-dixon.
I technically live below the Mason-Dixon line.. we still get snow.
Today though, it was 60 degrees

i'm going to be playing outside today... one one of the slowest and most worthless snowmobiles ever designed and sold to the public: a 1989 Yamaha Ovation..
So, how do you guys occupy your time during the winters doldrums?
I close my shop up when the freeze comes on... no heat in there.

15 degrees, 105 degrees, sunshine, snow, rain... weather is just weather.
at least in the cold you can put extra layers on and still get stuff done.
when it's 115+ all you can do is continuously drink water, try to stay out of the sun & hope you don't die. I really need to get out of the desert.
Thanks, Brett.
The best part of Yule is the looking forward to the warm weather. I'll take 90 over 30 any day.

Check the post times... one minute apart. Never saw your post as I was typing.
Jump to conclusions much?

Tr00f. I don't like stinkin' hot weather. FWIW, today it was ~80 here in Columbia and will be back to highs in the 40's by Christmas Day.
Don't like SC weather? Wait 5 minutes, you'll get something different.

What do you do if you are enjoying the current weather? Cringe and brace yourself?
There's hockey season, and then there is everything else.

Ever been to Michigan?
Quit stealing Chicago's bit.
Everybody in Indiana says that too.
