Everything recorded today and we got the keys. Moved all 4 toolboxes, both saws, about half the garage, every box, all the lawn and garden stuff, all the plants, and all the outdoor furniture. I'm going to go die now.

Because I'm a middle aged 42 year old and for most of my buying stage rates have been historically low.

Congratulations, getting your forever home is a big step.
I'd like to give you a little unasked for advice. It's horribly tempting to get the right curtains and fix the house the way you really want.
Chances are something will need fixing, replacing or whatever but it won't happen until you've been in for a while.
Keep the updates and fixes to the absolute minimum the first year or so.
You wife may want different things to make it perfect. Or her dream house. If you spend money now you'll be in a tight bind when the unexpected happens. Plus your color palette may change with the new location. It's tough to change and then have to change again later.
Get to "know" the new house before you fix it up.

This is good advice especially with the stretch to dream home. Congratulations on getting there!
It took 3 full days and 3 trips with a 26 foot truck to get moved. I am completely bushed! It's all worth it though. The kids are so happy and all of our new neighbors are so nice.

The professional movers we had hired ended up being two young guys who just started and had no idea how to do it. The company totally failed them and us.
Congrats to you and your family! A great neighborhood makes all the difference. We have awesome neighbors. Like all of them are amazing people and lifelong friends.
Also - berk moving again. As much as I hate the weather here, the thought of moving again makes me dig in my heels.
Congrats! Love the new house. Hope your kids are happy and girls have the space.
I made a few property purchases in SoCal during Covid in "crazy market," - worked for my family - they are #1 priority.

That's unfortunate! We've gotten lucky with movers given I move across the country every couple of years. One time I got my own movers for a local move (try my best not to do these) and they did such a great job I felt like I didn't pay enough for them. Had to tip them $200 each. Young guy and older guy who clearly knew what he was doing.
Anyway, I really glad y'all love this house!
