I know there are some in the flock here who live in Texas. How did everybody fare with all the rain?

Got a bit soggy. Living room floor and the bottom foot of drywall are outside on the deck. We'll let the dehumidifiers run for a few more days and then reassemble. We got 30 inches of rain out of the storm, so all things considered, we did all right.

I had to drive through some pretty bad flash flooding the other night.  Also, had a tree split in half keel over in front of me and I couldn't stop in time. My excursion just drove right through it like nothing. My son now call it "The Battle Van". There were cars that were flooded over or couldn't make it because visibility. Oh and this was in the dark because power on this side went out immediately.

I was in Beaumont and Houston on business. That was not very fun. I saw people swimming from their home which was a first. I was nearly trapped myself in my car. I got stuck on some side streets as the water rose and I had water halfway up the doors. Eventually my rental car started to float. Pretty freaky.  Got out by the skin of my teeth.

If you rent from National, maybe don't pick a black Ford Edge for a little while...

Thankfully up here in Austin we didn’t get hit. My brother lives up in the Woodlands was having flashbacks from when Harvey came thru and destroyed everything though

Just a couple of days of steady rain in Nacogdoches.  Back to hot and humid now.

Curb high water in front of house here in far SW Houston. Good soaking for the parched lawn.

I'm in Lubbock - Hell and gone from Houston - but have friends down there.  I feel for them.

We had a  nice soaking rain Saturday.  My lawn will appreciate it.
