Well, This is looking a lot better for the Tribe. If they can put away Boston without getting to beaten up, They will have home field for the ALCS where they have been really strong all year. Can't wait for the game this afternoon.

^^ yes, you should have. The 9th inning was amazing. These things usually happen TO the Cubs, not the other way around!
Four runs in the top of the ninth is a playoff first, apparently. Then that closer they brought in- Holy smoking fastball! He threw something like 12 pitches, the slowest at 101mph. "Here's a fastball. Go ahead. Try to hit it."

Indeed.
I don't like the guy, but I sure do love his pitching.
Pitching? Yes, some, thank you.
Alcs, realistically, is about two bloop singles away from a 2-0 Toronto lead instead of a Cleveland lead. Wowsers.
Dodgers were sure unhappy with the strike zone last night. Most cases, they really didn't have a lot of room to complain.
And now that the Cubs have remembered why they go to the plate, LA could be in trouble. Its good, though. I've got a 25 cent bet on them!

Back in April I called 3 championship shots. Monsters kick it off with Calder Cup, Cavs take the NBA, and Indians win the Series. Got two, and that last one has been haunting me since 97. Ready my whole life for it.
I'm going to try. If I can't I'll sell then on the secondary market. Last time I had tickets to a championship series was the first lebron NBA finals in 2007. Had tickets to game 5 and the cavs got swept in 4.

That guy has to win the AL Cy Young. What a performance.
Heck, you could make a case for Miller deserving it. Heres hoping that the Cub bats show up tonight.
Watching a game like that one- most times I say, when the bases are loaded and nobody is out, and they don't score, "C'mon you guys! Just a single- a bloop- a dying quail!"
Not last night. It was "Holy crumoley, those Cleveland pitchers are sharp."
It was like the pitchers swapped uniforms. My worthless opinion is that Chicago has more good starters than Cleveland, and so Chi-town wins in 6.

I agree that we (I'm the most important part of the Cubs--the fan!) have more and better starters, but the tribe has got Kluber, who will go at LEAST once more in this series, and Miller, who I expect to go in any time it is somewhat close.
And the Cubs can only play Schwarber for one at bat a game for the next three games. That takes out a big part of their offense of this past game.
This could go either way. 5 game series from here! Let's go Cubs!!
