damn I had a doozy from forteforums, but it's from a non-native english speaker so it is excusable.

meh, Bobzilla seems like a smart person. I have one too though =/
lol
they are VERY concerned with their precious "em pee jeez" though
don't try to tell them that they almost certainly won't notice a difference of 1 or 2 mpg. Also don't tell them that the instant mpg readout isn't very accurate

Yea, you can only agree with Bob if you make sure to include a derogatory ginger reference at the end of it.....I seriously considered a koup this time last year......I am kinda glad I didn't. plus I need sho's in my life
more ForteForum jewels:
A cai might give a couple more mpg, but the whole point of installing one is to ram the throttle harder and feed the engine more gas in general.
Umm.... wut?

Mine's not either. Mine shows about 1-2mpg lower than actual. Last tank showed 28.9. Real mpg was actually 30.8. It's read consistently low since we bought it in Sept.
And some of the posts by the person who did this, defending it...
I'm actually glad I bent my control arm instead of my frame.... I'm going to keep cutting my control arms to keep a cheap weak point in my front suspension. If I hadn't cut them, my frame may have gotten bent.
But seriously, the cut that I put in my control arm doesn't weaken it THAT much, to the point that it just bends like that.... Remember, I was going 40 when this curb jumped out at me......
And in all honesty, in a fight with a curb, I'd trust this cut stock one: Over this aftermarket tubular one:

For some reason, I think it could just be 'better'.How does one "feel" a mpg gain?

It's times like this that I think the level of inspection they have in Britain or Germany isn't such a bad idea...
How's this for a cross-cultural reality TV show? We take candidates from random forums across the U.S. and ship them over to England and film what the inspectors say as they try to pass an MOT inspection... Probably need subtitles...

and @Bobzilla: that's the one I was going to post but didn't. lmao
Searching for bobzilla's replies on the Forte forums is good for hours of lolz. I don't know how he can own that car and not want to light it on fire after reading what the typical owners do!!!
On second thought, I think my brain is melting. Seriously. The average Forte owner has a "Planned Mods" section of their signature right underneath the tint and other feeBay/PepZoneBoyz vinyl add-ons and HID conversions. Did I mention that most of them have 2.0 automatics? Holy. Berking. Crap.

Is that you Ben?
This was the gem from there today:
MadTyteKIAOwner, yo said: License Plate Stage 2 White LEDs
For cereal? There's "stages" of license plate light upgrades?
I E36 M3 you not, this just got posted:
Thread Title: 13 Koup vs 06 Audi s4 r line
(first off, wtf is an r line? is it an rs4? did they even have a b7 rs4?)
water pump gasket said: Did a little racing in Mexico tonight. Buddy wanted to run me in his Audi. I figured I'd get raped by his 2.7tt but I figured what the heck, why not? He gave me the choice of runs, I said a 70 mph kick, my 3rd gear pull is nasty. Long story short, I owned him... To my shock. My mods, k&n typhoon and free flow muffler. His mods, open exhaust and swiss cheese airbox with k&n. (that I know of) Thought this was a fairly significant kill for the Koup. Especially since I've yet to drop in the Nitrous...
ignoring the fact that b7 s4's have the 4.2, and not the 2.7, I entirely do not believe this. At all.
Audi owner had to have either started in 6th or not gassed it. There's no way.
Also, people that put dual exhausts on 4 cylinder cars (not counting flat 4's): I can't stand that E36 M3. Especially in fwd applications
edit: there is a b7 rs4, so at least the car exists in the real world, if an rs4 is what he's talking about
In reply to corytate:
No, not an RS4. My co-worker has an S-Line. Basically an A4 in psuedo-S4 drag. It's like a BMW M-Sport, it's basically a few "sportier" bits. His car does have the 2.7TT (low boost) with FWD. It's black with fancier wheels, a black interior, and some badges. He's a stodgy old guy and it's stock. Also, it's slow (for a turbo car).
The kid has no idea what he raced. There's no such thing as an Audi r-line, and the b7 was never available with the 2.7tt.

Why the berkeley would you intentionally cut a control arm?
