HDTV doesn't actually look better. It just looks shinier and more directly lit.

As a die hard fan of St. Anger, I can say I agree with you. They can still play as well and fast as ever, but the music lacks the anger and drive of the early stuff.

I thought the same
If you name your product "i" anything and you aren't Apple, that product is likely to be trash. Even if it isn't your marketing people should still be thrown in a lion pit.
The "Good 'old days" weren't that good.
"They don't make 'em like they used to" and probably for a good reason.
"New and improved" is usually more "new" and not often "improved"

that goes right up there with "If you had to tell me the car was 'Smart', it probably isn't"
I go to McDonalds 2-3x a week but never eat there. Haven’t had a burger in over a decade.

Many new cars will likely have technical glitches over time that keep them from becoming Old cars.
NA Miatas are more enjoyable to work on than their offspring.

I'd suggest a trip to your eye doctor.

That is good only when you are the top dog in the society. Its why black people seldom talk fondly of the 50's.
Race isn't even remotely relevant to the discussion. Every ethnic group has cultural aspects that give its members a sense of identity, pride, and connectedness.
People who do “shots of vodka” be to take a hard look at their drinking habits.
Gin tastes like ground up pine trees.
Tequila is appropriate to drink on spring break in Daytona.
The only recipe for a good martini is two ounces of cheap bourbon, then some coca cola.
Metallica is a legendary band that isn't making legendary music anymore, but they get a pass, pretty much no matter what. The black album may have been there last great album from start to finish, but they've done some really great stuff since then. Whiskey in the jar, stone cold crazy, and hero of the day of the day are three of my favorite metallica songs, all post black album.
Rush and van Halen are mediocre. Pink Floyd sucks.

I'd agree, I don't think anything since their eponymous album has been amazing all the way through, but they have still released a ton of great songs since then.
Excited to see them again in January.

Truth and statistics both show the fallacy of that comment. The average age of cars continues to grow eventhrough years of record sales. Cars last longer and are better made than ever. 30 years ago a 10 year old car was old. Today 10 year old cars are just broken in.
30 years ago a 10 year old car was done.
When I was a teen in the 70's if a car had 100,000 miles you couldn't give it away

Dig what you dig. I love the whole thing, start to finish. When my first copy got trashed, I did not hesitate to go out and buy another. I know a few others who like it, but not many.

New cars are more reliable, more durable, more efficient, safer, faster and less expensive than old cars ever were.

Agreed, but it's already been looked at and the conclusion was that we do shots of vodka because of the lack of really good European schnapps available here.
I quite enjoy the flavour of gin.
Hatchbacks are over rated. If you go through case by case and directly compare them to their trunk equipped counterparts you might find some more useful. In my experience the current Focus is the worst offender. The cargo area is small and the sloped rear glass limits storage space up top. Fold down the rear seat and it gets a little better, but maybe only in a useful once a year sence. I would rather have the locked secure storage of a trunk. In not sure about prices now, but I recall hatches going for $1-2k more than equivalent sedans a few years ago.
