I remember interviewing there in the 80's. Two things stick out as memorable.

Did you learn it quickly, accidentally, and messily?

Yep! The same way I've learned pretty much everything!
TIL about Autoworld, the automotive-themed amusement park that was supposed to save Flint, Michigan and ultimately ended up not that automotive-themed, not that amusing, and obviously didn't turn things around for Flint (actually, it made them worse)
In reply to NickD :
I lived in Flint when they were tearing down the last pieces of it. It was a sad story. The fate of the city was a sad story. I watched Roger and Me when I lived in Flint (before Mr. Moore got political IMO) and it was interesting to see places in the movie that I would see all the time.
TIL that if you are very, very rich and very, very connected, you can buy the Australian Air Force and make it your own. There are some strings attached but it still looks like a real interesting gig.

I mangled my turn signal switch last week with one!
It works a lot different than I expected. Expectation was that it worked like, well, a staple gun, except hot. Like when my mom would fix broken plastic glasses frames with a regular staple after heating it up over a stovetop burner. (I broke a lot of glasses frames...) Like punch it through, fold the ends over, done.
This is more like.... like inserting corrugated rebar into concrete. You melt the "top" partway in, and then the legs stick out of the plastic, deadbug style, and have to be trimmed off.
GM choose to use 3 - 5mm bolts to hold on the on board air compressor on GMT900 trucks. This is under the truck in direct line of tire debris kick up. How well do you think those come off after 11 years? Not too good! Broke 2/3 and had to drill out and re-tap.

Is this including the trunk?
TIL that my garage at the new house must have an infestation of driveshaft gnomes. That's the only reason I can determine for it being fine last fall after driving to Binghamton and back, parking it for 5 months, and then all of the driveshaft bolts being completely loose today. Made for a hellacious vibration and an inauspicious start to the 2022 season

Yes folded down the seat in the rear. You get a completely open pass through.
TIL that my boss, who is not that much older than I am (pretty sure he's under 60...) and I know for a fact has fairly large number of children who would have grown up texting, did not know what 'IIRC' meant...
In reply to Ashyukun (Robert) :
The first time I ever saw IIRC was online around 1989...
Somewhere along the way, IMHO changed its meaning. Used to mean "honest", now people think it means "humble"? I'd rather hear someone's honest opinion than self back-patting.
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
I think "In my humble opinion" predates the internet by quite a bit, and originally meant something along the lines of "I'm not sure, and you can take this for what its worth, but my opinion is ..."
"Humble" may have changed meanings in the last few years, like so many other things.

If I remember correctly, it means if I remember correctly.
TIL Nylock nuts are N2, N5 or N8 nylon.
TIL It's still a thing to decorate your car with candy cars or soda, even if you're a mother dropping off your kids at elementary school. Bonus points, apparently, for adding photoshoot pictures of yourself to the decal. Also a Mrs. Juicy sticker on the front helps.

IMHO, IIRC means If I Recall Correctly
