I had a Ommegang Rare Vos Amber Ale during shoveling out on Monday afternoon. Very good brew. I got a Ommegang variety 12 pk for my birthday or Christmas. I liked some of the flavors but some were just too hoppy.

I'm a little burned out on micro-brews, so I'm going with a macro-brew, namely a frosted mug of Coors.

Or drink a can of Budweiser(really who drinks that stuff these days) and you'll go running back to craft beers in no time flat.

I agree with that statement as well, unless of course it makes me puke, in which case I might not feel like drinking anything for a minute or two.
After having had a cardiac event last month and experiencing my first ride in an emergency vehicle as a customer, then spending a few days in the hospital, it has been suggested by the cardiologist that I limit alcohol intake for a while. Consequently, I'm off gin martinis entirely (for a while), and limiting daily imbibing to a couple beers or a couple glasses of wine. Since Annie and I will be visiting the local pub tonight and I'll have my daily couple there, I'm currently drinking a boring glass of club soda right now.
In reply to Gary:
I would rather have you around to complain about limited imbibing than the alternative!!!
Tatonka stout is pretty decent.
Gary, take it easy until the doctors clear you. My dad didn't listen after the first one and never recovered from the second.
So I may have accidentally housed half of a bottle of Elijah Craig. Because Knurled don't buy crap and "house" is the verb they kids use nowadays, I think.
Haven't seen this thread in a while. But it's Friday afternoon and the start of the weekend, so I thought I'd resurrect it (and maybe urge Bravenrace into posting again). I've been working in the yard on a beautiful day. I cut the grass, trimmed the shrubs, trimmed Annie's bush (an Oriental Willow that she bought a long time ago, so it has become "Annie's bush" and it needs to be trimmed periodically ). It's 4:25 and I'm ready for a rest and a drink. So I'm on my deck listening to Jeffrey Foucault on Pandora, and drinking a Sam Adams Nitro IPA. It has the nitrogen widget in the can. It's all right, but not spectacular. When it concerns beer and the widget, I still prefer Guinness and Boddington's. In any case, happy weekend everyone, and enjoy an adult beverage or three.
There are three Spaten Optimators in the fridge waiting for me when I get home.
I don't think they will survive the evening.
In reply to Gary: Great news the doctor cleared you for adult beverages, Bush trimming is hard work.

Actually, I sorta cleared myself. No doc is gonna say sure, go back to drinking alcohol again. But I had the second ablation and all is well, and the doc is pleased with my situation. So a beer or two or a couple glasses of Bordeaux should be OK (in my medical opinion anyway).
