This new Jay-Z remix is perfection.
A song about taking a road trip in an unkillable Toyota Pickup/Hilux was too GRM-relevant to not post here. Bonus points for weird sludgy sound:
I would buy this whole album if it were available DRM-free, but I don't see it for sale anywhere, so piracy it is:

Heavy sludge/stoner metal binge lately. Red fang, the sword, clutch, currently black label society. Looks like I need to buy another les Paul and slap some EMGs in.
I'm so tired from being up late night after night this week that I think I hear music but it's being hallucinated by my tired brain as I sit here. It's kind of annoying, sounds like hearing someone else's clock radio through a vent. It's not even good, it's like generic pop rock from the late 80s. Lots of guitar.
This reminds me: i have a friend who did meth for a while. He said it's not the meth that gets you, it's just the being awake for days on end. "You know how in the dark you will think you see something move out of the corner of your eye? After days awake you really believe it's there."
Eesh. I love my sleep too much to do something like that. Goodnight
Early bed tonight means I can lay down with my headphones for a bit of music. I used to be the angsty teen with the habit of laying on the floor and staring at the ceiling with headphones for hours a day. So in honor of that, tonight is Blink182's 2003 self titled album. Takes me back to nighttime road trips across the Mojave to visit family. And that one trip to San Francisco after thanksgiving in 2005.
This album features a guest appearance by Robert Smith of The Cure. Man, I fit the mold in high school. Up next is likely some STP. Maybe Zep. Goodnight.
Outing myself as a huge nerd here, but since Tom has been away at OLOA and I've spent the majority of the last week completely alone, I've needed a lot of ambient noise to keep the house from feeling too empty. So I've taken a deep dive into The Adventure Zone podcast (Specifically the Ethersea season) since there are a ton of episodes and they're very long. Highly recommend for anyone who's into D&D homebrew campaigns and hates spending time alone with their own thoughts.
