We don't know if Boba Fett died because none of the new canon references him, yet.

The Wookiepedia says he climbed out and went back to work. But then again some of the fan fiction I find just wrong.

He's the only person in the trilogy to call Vader out on his E36 M3, and get what he wants from him. A veritable "Bad Mother berkeleyer". Look at how Vader talks to him in Empire Strikes Back, compared to say, Lando. Lando rolls over and turns the whole damn gang over, and gets screwed anyways "I have altered the deal". Fett expresses concern over potential damage to his prize, in a somewhat rude tone, and Vader just turns around and tells him he'll be compensated if that occurs.

It's not told in the movie, but he does survive being eaten by the Saralcc.

That's extended universe, and EU doesn't count.

Related to that the best news of the new movies is Disney saying they won't use EU

I vote for Obi-wan, but lots of good arguments made so far.

So two pages, and no one's mentioned the Ewoks yet? WTF? They took on a numerically and technologically superior enemy and won. They're like furry Spartans.

OK, I'm off to research how Boba Fett could escape Sarlacc.

Him shooting first is the only reason he can even be listed on this thread.

WTF are you talking about. Stormtroopers couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a grenade at 2 feet. Technologically advanced my ass. Hell they couldn't walk through a door.

Almost...the correct order is 4, 5, 2, 3, 6, and pretend 1 simply doesn't exist.

why? it's not a horrible movie once you get past the cutesy stuff they made to get kids to buy toys and it sets up all of the backstory for the rest of the movies.

also, it has the best dance sequences in the whole series..

My vote is for the Falcon as it represented a physical and mechanical representation of the actual rebellion: a collection of mismatched and odd parts come together (barely) to beat (never tell me) the odds.

And on the 4 foot sized model used in filming you can clearly see half a bell-housing and transmission on either side of the ship.

Bloopers aside, common misconception. The film opens with them kicking ass, then Obi-Wan Kenobi talks about how good they are, then, and this is where people get mixed up. Vader commands his stormtroopers on the Death Star to miss, allowing the escape, so that the now bugged Falcon can lead the empire to the secret rebel base. It's right in the dialogue, from both sides.

TARKIN You're sure the homing beacon is secure aboard their ship? I'm taking an awful risk, Vader. This had better work.
HAN Not a bad bit of rescuing, huh? You know, sometimes I even amaze myself. LEIA That doesn't sound too hard. Besides, they let us go. It's the only explanation for the ease of our escape. HAN Easy... you call that easy? LEIA Their tracking us! HAN Not this ship, sister. Frustrated, Leia shakes her head.
