yeah...one of every gearheadshirts would make for a pretty nice gift too too
Hot Wheels/ Match Box cars. GRM approved real cars.
Display case for HW and MB
HO train set for around the tree.
iPhone earbuds(with inline mic)
WoW Cata
No more DVDs or T shirts
BTW, for those of you guys that mentioned GoPro. They just released the next generation: HD Hero2. Seems like the most relevant new feature for us car people is that you can select the field of view from super wide 170degrees all the way down to 90 degrees.
This resolves a problem my dad and I have been having with my regular HD Hero: I love the 170 degree FOV for RallyX since I can see the cones and around corners, but he doesn't like it for track days since he can't see far enough down the track.
All I really want is an xbox and forza 4. As much as I love my ps3, forza just looks baller.
But now, being a father, my daughters christmas is much more important than what I get.
Me: Hobart Handler 140.
Wife: iPad 2
We're effectively buying $500 presents for ourselves and swapping...
I want my MSM engine in the car and running.
And a toolbox, I am tired of trying to find the tools I need buried in a box.
An aluminum race jack to replace the cast iron monster I have to pack in my van.
New FIA belts for race Spridget (mine just expired).
Some sort of solid state video cam for the race car to replace the Flip camera I flooded out in the rain at Watkins Glen last weekend (But not a GoPro......I already have one of those. Want something with a monitor).
Celica parts.
ALL OF THEM.
This winter is make or break for that car. It either makes huge progress, or it's going to scrap.
Hoilday gift buying is always a problem here. When the wife and I want something and the money is available we just go buy it. So when the holiday rolls around there is nothing left on the "want list".
This year we have decided that we want a laptop for Christmas. But by that time we will probably have seen what we want on sale and have already purchased it.
A nice pair of driving shoes so I can actually feel my car's pedals. Nike Basketball shoes suck for autocross.
I want to have the rally Tal[hoon] sorted, with all of the parts, tires, co-driving equipment the co-driver needs, etc ready to go for it's first event by Dec 31. That'll give me 2 months of time to tidy up any little things to make the car perfect for it's debut!
It'd be cool to receive some support from the parents, I typically can squeeze funds out of them for my rally licence which is a fantastic Christmas gift!
A 5 speed proper 3 pedaled gearbox w/LSD for my SR20...installed...without SWMBO objecting.
Its more likely that I will win the lottery...on Saturn
I gave up on specific things for the most part since it seems to be a lot of trouble for some reason. My wife has already surprised me with a mig from HF because it was on sale, and some bits for my train set so i will have them for when I put them out this year. All I'm asking for from anyone else are gift cards to Advance Auto, B&N, and one book to add to my corvette library,
back from the dead...Family wants to know what I want for Xmas...2 things on my list are a good Dial/display vernier caliper, and the other is a set of taps/dies. Family requests they be under a hundred bucks.
I request they be Made in 'Merkuh. Im not having a whole lotta luck, and the made in usa sites posted in the angle grinder thread arent helping...Does GMR-land have any suggestions or have google-fu that can overcome my search ineptitude? Halp
