Pretty sure you made the exact point that people who want more regulation use.

Sales via classifieds and gun shows should have the same background check and registration that a gun shop uses. The "friend" that lent you the gun is liable for your actions with said gun, so common sense comes into play there. Other than Walter White, 99.99% of people won't try to solicite every street corner for a stolen gun.

No need to take them away, just stop making them so easy and anonymous to obtain.

Actually it depends on the state in which you reside as far as ads in classifieds go. Here in Oregon face to face transfers are perfectly legal. Heck I can go to a yard sale and walk away with a rifle. I know that in some states such a transfer is illegal though I am sure many of them still take place without any sort of paperwork filed.

At any rate, we get a higher class of mass murder, not some dumb yokel who hates a group for spurious reasons, and then goes and shoots up a similar-looking group because he's too dense to know, or care about, the difference.

(I'm not advocating gun control. But notice that even the Joker didn't use guns against people - he was a higher class of criminal)

Understand what you are saying, and I have NO qualms whatsoever about having a background check done before I make a purchase, provided it isn't just another arbitrary roadblock so some clown in a $2000 suit can say he's "tough on crime". I've got nothing to hide. (I'm less thrilled about the eternal records of that purchase, who has access to them now and who might in the future, but that's probably just the tinfoil beanie talking). But the simple fact is the criminals/crazies/thugs really could care less about your background check/high cap magazine bans/waiting periods or any other barrier you want to throw up. That ship has sailed by virtue of the sheer number of guns, magazines and ammo already in circulation. They don't need a check to get a gun, and they never will. There are already enough high cap magazines out there to outfit every gang banger and skinhead like Duke Nukem. Their waiting period is how ever long it takes the local neighborhood "outfitter" to bring a serial number free Glock (or, more likely, Hi Point) to the convience store parking lot. They don't care about your laws, rules, sense of fair play or desire for the "common good." You will not impact them in the least. Its only the guy like me, who enjoys shooting as a sport, handles his firearms carefully, and follows the rules that is affected by gun control legislation. The mere mention of this foolishness has already driven up my shooting costs by almost 50% in the last four years.

This development certainly makes practical gun control more difficult, but that won't stop the usual suspects (Schumer, Feinstein, McCarthy, etc.) from trying.

How many people did he shoot at? He mostly got his employees to do any shooting for him. He did use the shotgun from the bank heist, but he mainly used it as a psychological weapon.

I'm not sure that he even used it against the bus driver. (Remember that throwaway line? "I'm not supposed to kill you, I'm supposed to kill the bus driver." "What bus driver?" WHAM) He probably had a garotte or something. As much as that dude would plan things out, he would NOT leave finding a weapon to chance.

"Gasoline and explosives are cheap." So, for that matter, are pencils.

Please do say you mean glock magazines in excess of 17 round capacity.......

If it isn't a beta drum for the ar, 33rd g18 mags, or similar magazines, its standard capacity.....not "high capacity"

I'm still upset at how the NFA ban was passed.......I'd like to buy an M2 carbine(m1 carbine + select fire), but after the nfa laws passed, price went from 5-600 up to well over $4k.....plus up to a year waiting for paperwork to come through the ATF after you've paid for the rifle......theres a perfect example of how some of these gun restriction laws have hurt the law abiding owner

Xd-M9 has a "standard" (comes with most of them along with a slightly smaller magazine) of 19+1.

I've sold 30 round Glock magazines before. If it is going to take you 30 rounds to get me, I'll get you first.

Yeah it was kind of BS how they pulled that off. At one point I could have sold my 3 steel lined 17 round Glock mags and bought another Glock. I didn't though. My carry is 8 in the mag one in the pipe of 45 ACP. Even if you are wearing a vest if I hit you in the chest you are gonna be hurting and possibly have the wind knocked out of you or in the right spot maybe crack some ribs. If you aren't down by then the third shot should do the trick cause it doesn't go to the chest.

He made a plastic lower receiver. That is hardly a full weapon. It's the plastic "box" that contains all the moving parts for the trigger mechanism.

Very true. Thats why when my .45 is an 8 cap mag, I carry 9.

It is however, the chassis that constitutes a firearm in the ATF's eyes.....if you don't have a manufacturor's FFL, building that plastic lower would be highly illegal and the ATF would be kicking in his door......if they weren't too busy destroying the smuggling evidence.

I normally carry .380's, but always 7+1 with 2 extra mags......either in Sig or Colt flavors. I'm going to get a 1911 before christmas though. I'm prolly done with glocks and such

Actually you CAN manufacture your own weapons as long as you do not ever sell them. This is what allows people to complete 80% AR receivers and AK flats. Now there maybe individual state laws that pertain but federally you are good to go. However if you are ever caught using one in a crime expect to be crucified.

Also yamaha which 380 SIG do you carry? I have a P230 that is my backup.

this is also why i don't bother with anything bigger than 20 rounders for my AR, also SS stoner mags, never saw the point of pmags.

Them and at least a half dozen others, including the Dept of Education and IRS. INS would stay, but those sorry pieces of E36 M3 would start HUSTLING for their pay check, which would be 75% of what they're making now.

I liked the 20rd Pmags that came with my rock river.......mainly because the 20rd mag allowed easier prone shooting than a 30rd. I didn't have the rifle too long as I found myself still shooting the M1 carbine more often and missing the FAL I traded off for the ar.

My pistol is a .40 S&W Desert Eagle Baby Eagle. It's friggin HEAVY and not something I'd carry every day. Definitely need something lighter. BUT, I will say that if I ever DO come across a situation where I run out of ammo and have to beat someone to death with my gun, it'll do the job. LOL
