Mount Roraima is a truly remarkable place. It is a tabletop mountain with sheer 400-meter high cliffs on all sides.
It's the source for three rivers, there's one way up (and it's tough) and that 1200+ foot vertical climb should slow down zombies. Plenty of room, too.

I tend to feel the same way. I get the humor in it but to me, an AR15 isn't something to be all that humorous about. The only thing that annoys me worse is bubbas at the range with the Arabic script for "infidel" etched into the reciever, as if they're ever gonna be doing battle with Muslim terrorists, not to mention that the specific word for infidel they tend to use ("kafir" I think) can also be translated as "coward."

There has been a growing number of people that use the zombie metaphor to represent being prepared for anything that comes down the pipe. Basically the idea is if you are ready for the zombies you are ready for damn near anything. . Also in some circles it has also become a polite way to talk about the mouth breathing idiots that have no clue about the world around them.

Oh, I have no doubt. But dozens of feet underground means no light, if it was designed as a nuclear safe haven, they would need electricity to run the filtration and just in general to pump air in. Jacuzzi's are also a let down without jets.

BTW, that is the scariest part of it all. Zombie training for Police/Military is for a domestic invasion, not from an external invading force. So I guess we are the Zombies.

The "zombies" that police are prepping for likely are the potential victims of a bio attack that could infect other populations. The movie "outbreak" was one of these types of scenarios.
I mean, look at what would happen if someone let loose aerosolized anthrax at the super bowl. Just thing about the second and third order effects, when symptoms may not show for 24-72 hours. And it is contagious. You want panic? The concept of containment is incredibly difficult in these scenarios, and the ability to pre-stage medical countermeasures is very limited.
