Quite a few years ago, I had a game controller with a 15-pin PC joystick port on it, that was patterned somewhat after a wheel-style radio. The wheel was on the top, and the underside had a trigger for throttle and brake. It was called the Ultraracer PC, I think:
I've been searching around the internets to see if there is a similar unit that will talk bluetooth or, second choice, USB, to my various widgets that have the capacity to play games.
I find it to be a more intuitive interface than a joystick or a gamepad for driving sims, and it's certainly less demanding of space.
Anyone seen anything like this that uses a modern interface to talk to modern equipment?
Thanks in advance.
Some quick google searching only came up with stuff to adapt a real RC radio to USB.

Associated makes radios now?
Anyhow, those look like Futaba J connectors. I have a relatively recent Futaba, so it sounds like I just need to find the USB dohickey, assuming it appears as an analog game controller, and I'll be good to go. It's a little bulky, but it looks like a solution.
Actually, related products, $25. Reviews say it appears on their PC as a 2 axis game controller. http://www.amainhobbies.com/rc-cars-trucks/virtual-rc-vrc-3nt-2.4ghz-usb-transmitter-adapter-vrc-3nt/p234057
