GRM Forza 4 B-Spec Championship
Setting up the lobby at 8:00PM EST on Sunday December 1st. Practice will start at 8:40 or as soon as the lobby fills up. Qualifying at 8:50 and the race will start at 9:00PM EST.
We are bringing back the B Spec Championship for anyone interested. It was a great success last time so hopefully we can have a decent turnout and people will still play forza 4 after the new xbox releases.
Basically DukeOfUndersteer has already done the leg work and I'm copying from the original thread. Will update this when we get closer to the start of the series which will most likely start the week after Thanksgiving and run through Dec-Jan.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rules for getting started: Pick a car from the list below and modify it EXACTLY to the specs listed and then paint it to your liking. Once you have picked a car and ran your first race you will stay in it for the rest of the series. All the cars are VERY evenly matched but some might have slight advantages that make them stronger for certain tracks.
Current season standings after Race 4:

Race Rules:
I don't think there will be much said as I respect you guys as real drivers and not the typical douche Xbox player. Full Simulation Crash Damage and Tire Wear will be on. There is no specific trans. You can run in Auto, Manual or Manual w/clutch, whatever you choose. No rough driving. Please respect your fellow driver. If you question a move, like dive bombing someone going into 10A at Road Atlanta, potentially ruining both your and your opponent's race, don't do it. No short cutting on track. We are going on the "honor system" since there is no officiating. We will be updating this area as suggestions and comments are made.
Practice and Qualifying:
We will be joining to one party and will practice for a timed heat of 10 minutes.
For Qualifying, we will be using the "Time Trials" approach, where our times will not be affected by the draft and other cars in the way as they are invisible. It will be a 10 minute session. We will record the top times and grid the field from the results.
Race:
We will take the standing start lap as our "warm up" lap to warm tires and get gridded up in our qualifying positions. At the end of the standing start lap, the race will begin via a 2x2 rolling start called out by the person on Pole.
Point System as follows:
1st - 25
2nd - 18
3rd - 15
4th - 12
5th - 10
6th - 8
7th - 6
8th - 5
9th - 4
10th - 3
11th - 2
12th - 1
Bonus point for Pole

AWWW E36 M3! Pencil me in as "Interested." I think now that I finally got the seXbox hooked up with the HDMI cable, I might be able to finally figure out the berkeleying headphone thing...or maybe I won't...just to piss off the lot of you
Did you E36 M3-sticks ever figure out who the official winner of the last series was???
I owe someone a trophy!!!
Ok so I'm aware it is football season so hopefully that doesn't keep too many people away. I'm good for running nearly any night of the week, Monday-Thursday between 6-10PM eastern time.
In reply to poopshovel:
I dropped out towards the end of the season so I don't know who was the official winner. lol Hopefully I will make it through all 10 races this time!
Yep mazda 2 again for me too.
Paging Racerfink!
He had horrible luck last season! I hope he will return to give us all a run for our money!
Racer Fink was stinkin quick! So were you Atticus!
Who was it that did the Ned Jarrett voice? Had me pissin' myself!

I do a pretty mean Michael Waltrip.
I'm doing a lot of work to even the cars out better right now. Some cars were on their original tire size, and were given a race power mod to make up for their lack of cornering on the test track that was used. But when they got on a longer track, they ran and hid.
In reply to racerfink:
Cool. There sure is room for improvement there. I know you know what you're doing.
I have only played once online and hated it because of crashers. I feel like this group would be much more pleasant to race with if you guys don't mind a new reader joining. As long as the woman doesn't mind me hogging the tv I should be able to do most evenings except Wednesdays.
In reply to Lancer007:
Shouldn't be a problem with crashers here. Sure incidents happen but you get pretty familiar with the part of the pack you run with. I always seemed to be right in the middle and was used to everyones driving styles. We communicate on comms pretty well too.
