GTA V

Found a cool buggy which looks a bit like a Lotus 7 in the hills (in the big canyon). Handles nice, but sadly cannot be modified (I wanted to pain it green and put on road tires on it).

Almost got a nice Twin Piper from that airport in the desert. I landed there in the blimp and it showed up. The pilot got out, and while I was thinking about what to do about him, he promptly walked into the left prop and chopped himself up!

I got the plane but while searching for what key put the gear up (it L3, push down on the left stick, BTW) I accidentally jumped out of the plane at about 500 ft. Oops, oh well.

But I DID fined good one! Take the blimp to the airforce base and make a bee line for the F-16/18 parked just off the runway. That's a fun one. They will shoot a missile at you when you take off, but if you survive you have rockets and a cannon. Rocketing the downtown buildings is fun. I used the afterburner way to much an ran out of fuel. I am not sure if the ejection seat would have worked, you might need a parachute.

On the subject of car customization, what happens to a car after you've customized it? Does it show up regularly at your house? How do you not lose the car that you've spent time/money on?

If you "lose" the car, you will get a message a little later that the police have a car at the impound. Its $250 to get the car back.

I am not entirely sure how this works though. First time I got the message the car the gave me was just something I stole and dumped earlier.

Oh man I found a photo on instagram of the Youga cargo van modded. I gotta try that again, maybe I didn't have modifications unlocked yet when it didn't let me before.

Found a...something. Looks like it's got the front end of an early 300z, the body profile of a MKIII Supra, and the tails of a 3rd Gen Camaro. I can put Shakotan exhaust and a boso oil cooler on it! WINNING.

EDIT- It's apparently an Imponte Ruiner. Classifies as muscle..... I smell bosozoku for it.

i read you can go a little boso on the AE86 clone too.

all these cars I want to modify I am running out of money quick.

Alright who's already started the GrassrootsMotorsport crew?

I finally got the social club linked to my gamertag and I couldnt find a GRM crew, I tried to create it and it said the name was already in use. It must be invite only?

since the social club has a character requirement longer than my xbox gamertag, my social club nickname is ratR01.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a stripper to like you via private dance, with her breastasists all in your face, so you can't see the bouncer, while there's a two year old that shouldn't be watching this type of thing in the room? Yeah... I learned that about an hour ago.

Never having played any of the previous GTA's I feel a little lost. Trying to get it all figured out. I'm likely not taking advantage of all the cool stuff, but I did take a stripper home

Just play around with it a little and you'll get it down, nicksta. When you feel like getting into the story line, its pretty much just following the directions. Get driving and shooting down, then you'll be set.

Took me over 45 min to get bronze in the handgun shooting challenges, I suck at shooting in this game.

The shooting has never been easy in this game, I have a problem with it as well. Xbox controls are touchy. I'm ALSO used to shooting with a mouse on a PC, so there is a bit of a learning curve. Same with the driving. Coming in fresh is probably the best way to do it.

Tip: Pressing one of the sticks allows you to "zoom" on the target. I think it's the right one. I also wonder if you can use the "special ability" thing at the range (ala dead-eye from red dead.)

Me too. And jesus christ, I STILL try to use the "old" controls. Sucks hopping in a car and remembering the bottom button doesn't make it move. Couldn't find a setup that allows you to use the "old school" set up. Bummer. I think you could do it on the last couple games. I don't like using the triggers for throttle/brake.

Keep in mind that aiming is not the only trick you use in the range. Use the space. Move left and right.

I went straight from San Andreas to V, you'll have the controls down fluently after 30 hours or so.

Also, tip, go in the pause menu settings>display and change the "Weapon Target" to Complex, unless you have a 90 inch TV and can see the little dot that comes default.

Another tip: If you have sensitive ears around and play with e sound low, turn on the captions so you can read along and not miss anything.

Also, not a bad Idea to cruise the blimp around the island to shoe the map. The full map is also in the GTAV user manual app.

Oh wow. Both things I hadn't even considered...and the tiny dot is still hard to see on the BMFTV. Thanks dudes. Moving around would probably FINALLY allow me to get all gold on the shotgun challenges.

If you struggle with aiming I think there is an aim assist option.

Same here. I've been a pc gamer as far as shooters and prefer the "wasd" and mouse movements. Only other console shooter I was good at was Gears of War.

GOW was really good, I was thinking about it earlier today.

Guilty...

It seemed bit buggy when I was trying to set it up. Was having trouble adding anyone or editing our "logo". It's an open group, so anyone should be able to join.

Here's what I came up with (due to character limitations and available options):
