Anyone else into it? I'm not a hardcore player by any stretch, but I am hard pressed not to drop some quarters every time I see a table. I've done some traveling, and we have some pretty serious pinball joints locally, so I've had my hands on some exceedingly rare machines. I've played an Addams gold (real, serial number and all) one of the 12 remaining prototype big bang bars, the Hercules machine that holds the record as the worlds largest, orbitor 1, the single strangest table you will ever see, among others. these are all local machines too.... So that helps. I don't get a lot of chance to get out anymore, so I do spend a lot of time with pinball arcade, a pinball sim. Its free with one table on android, and its a good stopgap. I finally learned twighlight zone on it (tz has been my arch nemesis, pat lawlor tables are deviously hard. Took me close to a year to get hot at Addams. I still can't plat star trek TNG). So yeah, I'm into it. Anyone else?

Yes.

There was a cool little place near me called Pop Bumpers Pinball, but due to a terrible location and weird hours, they couldn't cut it and went out of business. They had about 12 pre-1980 machines. My favorite was the Star Trek one they had from Star Trek: The Motion Picture from 1979.

Funspot in NH has over 40 machines, ranging from the 1950's to the present day. That place rules!

There's also a documentary on Netflix called "Special When Lit" that is interesting. Check it out.

We have a free-play pinball arcade here in Nashville with about 50-60 tables from the 70s up through brand new tables. My favorites tend to be the new stuff, so Stern AC/DC, Iron Man, etc.

That's pretty much what I got out of it as well. That old guy with all the schematics and crap at his house probably has a few people chained up in the basement.

I have a Pirates of the Caribbean machine in my family room and a usually drop a few quarters in the two machines in the MSP airport when I am passing by that terminal on my way to the gate even though they have two lame games in there.

My wife, daughter, and I go to the Silverball Museum in Asbury Park, NJ every so often. It's a pay-by-the-hour place with more than 100 machines, all in good repair, plus some video games from the 70s (an original arcade Pong!) to the 80s, even really old school skeeball. They have a 2013 Wizard Of Oz, which is (improbably) manufactured in Lakewood, NJ.

I got to play a woz shortly after release at the state Fair of all places. I've never played anything like it. I really.need to make it to the one in Vegas. They have the only.pinball circus left o. Us soil..... Though there are rumors someone has the schematics And is putting them into production.

You know how I feel about pinball, but I just don't get to play it as much as I want, so I'm quite rusty.

You'll need to log in to post.
