I had single digit hp left, and I used every AP round, all but 3 APCR rounds, and 5 HE rounds.....I was about out of the ammo.

This was one of my best runs ever....without premium.

That makes me wish I hadn't been shooting at predominately tier 6 medium/heavies.....

Ive fired 80 shots out of my tier 4 Matilda in one battle....it was insane.

Stupid 2 pounder.......I roll up to matildas and chuckle at their "pew pew pew" guns, then hit them with "Bang Bang Boom" all the while laughing.

I make no questions about what I think about the matilda :)... my average dmg in mine is 471 over 100 games... I'm rarely top tier... thankfully people don't kowno that it has the same hull armor as a kv1... angle it and it's amazing and that little pew pew gun will pen just about anything it wants to shoot at at tier V and with a little work tier6... also because it only does 55dmg a shot they pay more attention to every other tank around... not the little tier4 tank side scraping lol... hopefully they don't learn that the turret like most UK tanks is one big weak spot lol...

in fact I like the matilda so much that I bought the matilda black prince last week when it was on a big sale... only 20 battles in it but it is one of my best wn8 tanks and 2nd best silver earner (net)

Just FYI - The "Tanksgiving" special is 5X experience for the first victory of the day. If you haven't tried this yet, it would be a great time to start, since you can move up quickly. Trust me, you'll tank us later.

so the firefly is here... er at least here in the test server... played it a it today... awesome gun but 1/2 the gun depression and a much weaker engine vs the easy8 = :(

also was playing a tier8 russian heavy (is3 or 6 can't recall) and the new tier10 UK tank destroyer managed to 1 shot me... ouch

pretty much... same hull specs and stuff with the 17 lber... crazy DPM at the moment... something like a shot ever 2.75 sec with rammer 100% crew and vents if I recall... but from what I understand these are "place holder stats" so we can expect it to change depending on what the numbers show... but in my few games on the test server while it has great DPM without the speed (much weaker engine so lower power to weight vs the easy8) and crap gun depression it's def a very different tank than the ez8... the m3 grant gets the 6 lb gun or the 75mm... same with the tier5 m4 uk variant... sadly I wasn't able to find a game with either of those... seems everyone runs to tier10 on the test server (and why not when you have 1mill cr and free xp lol)

oh and that new tier10 tank destroyer... is already being called the death-star 2... same gun as the deathstar... might play a few games in that line later today

also i'll post screen shots comparing the ez8 to the firefly later today if anyone cares... right now the test server is hammered and I don't feel like waiting in a 20k person queue to get on lol.

We don't get the firefly, and probably won't for awhile on the Xbox version, but I'd expect the firefly to remain tier 6 with the lack of armor and being slow. It will need to be played like a Hellcat due to not being able to go toe to toe with anything in its tier bigger than a light.....and even those could probably take it up close. It will need to be used from a distance and kept out of close fighting.

the new UK update came out today including the long awaited sherman firefly :)

So I assume that's why every battle I played last night had 10 "British edition" Stuart lights in it? Personally, I'm not crazy about the idea of the Firefly. The gun is going to pull you into high tiered battles where the lack of armor is really going to hurt.

meh shouldn't put our in any higher tier than normal in an ez8... in fact... it's about the speed of an ez8 with the stock engine... but gets an extra 50mm of pen and 200dmg less DPM... and the real kicker... only -6* of gun depression... 1/2 of that of the ez8 :(

but ya that is why you saw so many of the brit low tier tanks... when this stupid wz-111 mission is over (or at least i'm done with it) I'll start working my way up to the firefly at some point as well although the idea of going through the m3 lee isn't pleasant :( lol

I can cause havoc in tier 6 lobbies with my TOGII with that gun, and even though I have E36 M3 armor, the 1400 hit points sure help out. About the same as entering a lobby running my KV-2, if I see the enemy team with a TOG, they're target #1.

In an amusing round the other night, I hit a T29 heavy with a high explosive round from the KV-2 and did around 900 damage with the single shot. Not bad for a tank that is problematic to kill.

ya it should be fun... the firefly also has an extra 100dpm over the tog with the same gun... and it can move and use it but unlike the TOG it can't really take many hits... like you mentioned 1400hp makes repeatedly pounding a tank not difficult assuming you can ever get to the battle to shoot at them (I've got a TOG also... fun in a toon :)

for kv2... such a fun and frustrating tank i'm not digging the 21sec reload that typically only does 300 dmg... but it makes you giggle when it does a full 900 or sometimes 1400 dmg (ammo racked someone and had to giggle)

I trust you're using only High Explosive rounds with the KV-2's 152mm?

Sometimes, you'll hit something armored and not do E36 M3 to it, but you're still killing crew members/damaging modules/tracking/etc. And sometimes you'll put a shot into the front of an AT8 and just giggle as your splash damage is more than the tank's health pool.

It is a troll cannon though, they're best used in packs of 3 or with cover tanks. Alone, sometimes you troll people with it, sometimes it trolls you. At least the HE's ricochet less.

yup 152mm is the only reason to run it... although I may try out the 107 at some point when I research it... the t-150 really needs it anyway :)

The free tank is terrible, BTW. Slow compared to the IIC, slower firing gun that's so weak it won't penetrate the armor on the same tank. Its only redeeming feature is that it has decent armor for the tier. As far as I'm concerned, its looking like it will be sold back for some quick cash and a free garage spot.

also get some prem consumables... and you get it as long as you log in before the 11th of next month... I haven't tried it out yet because i'm concentrating on the new years mission grind... almost 1/2 way done... but 150,000 dmg and 150 kills for every country is a lot even if over a month (that's 1,050,000 dmg and 1050 kills)... but I really want that tier8 prem tank

er also... for any of you playing who get the free prem/gift tank... don't train the crew you get with it use a light tank crew from another german tank you've already got... or if you don't have one train them for another light tank you might get at some point.

for the tank itself... ya tier1 gun in a tier2 tank... not that I play tier2 much beyond 2 or 3 games to get though them these days lol we'll see how long it stays... a free extra daily double for my german light crew could be nice though and the gold/prem rounds are cheap compared to what I'm used to paying... specs look not far off from the pzII that I played a lot when I was new... so it might just stay to goof off with

Already sold mine...what an utter complete POS tank. I am not really into the german tank line...well except for my hummel, so yeah, I took the cash.

I haven't played mine... been to wrapped up in the new years mission... about 2/3 of the way to my free wz-111... going to skip out of japan though... when I'm done with that I'll play the POS once or twice and likely sell it... from everything I've seen it's just an inferior tank to the pz II (if you watch jingles check his video out about it... funny stuff)
