Hopefully not, and I actually just borrowed that term from one of the stupid tv show.
Well last night I'm cruising my freshly rebuelled 2000 buell blast and got to down shift and the damn bike got stuck in neutral and won't go into 1st but still shifts up fine. Well 1st gear is for prudes so I'm not worried, merely a flesh wound so to speak. Leaving I take off in second and all is well, the bike shifts up and down as normal. Well for the hell of it I try to shift into 1st again, bad idea! Something either jammed, broke, or stuck and now the damn bike is stuck in neutral and won't go into any gear. I have pulled the primary cover and chain guides, tomorrow I'll pull the engine(primary) sprocket, chain, and clutch basket and inspect the shifter pawl. I was just curious if anyone has any tips or advise, I'm hoping I didn't break anything inside the transmission as I don't want to have to split the cases. I now feel that I should have just got a used motor and transmission for 500-600$ because if I have to split the cases I'm not looking forward to what I'll find.
Thanks for any tips or suggestions and wish me luck!
