I'm jotting this first post as I wait for my son to eat his breakfast so we can go to the gym and I can burn off some roadtrip fluff, so it will be brief and most likely filled with mistakes.
We (myself, my wife and our kids) live in Canton, Illinois and my father lives in Roby, Texas. It had been several years since we'd seen each other so the wife and I figured it was time for a family roadtrip! So we packed up the wife's '11 Dodge Caravan with a week's worth of clothing for two kids and two adults, along with the requisite road snacks and hit the road.
We plotted a scenic route that would take us through; Springfield, Mo, Oklahoma City, Ok, Dallas, Tx then to Roby, Tx. The return trip added St. Louis after Springfield, Mo.
