One of the high points of this past summer was getting the front spoiler into paint. I could’ve used an automotive paint $ystem, but this car has been a pretty much a poverty build so far, so I went another way with the materials. Prep was Tamiya’s white modeler putty & Rustoleum primer, followed by 3 coats of Rustoleum Gloss Almond - a near perfect match for the original Ford Morning Gold. I rubbed it out with some 3M polishing compound to finish it off. The car must’ve known it was getting a facelift as it developed a “cataract” in one of the headlights during this time. This gave me an excuse to pop for a set of Hella H4s. Now I can actually see at night, and they don’t seem to require a relay setup. Result!
