Vintage racing’s promise is to resurrect the past glories of sports car racing for a modern audience, and no event does that better than the Classic Motorsports Mitty.
BMW will be the featured marque when the Mitty plans to return to the beautiful Road Atlanta circuit in Braselton, Georgia on April 24-26, 2015. BMW has had a long and storied history in motorsports, and many of these classic race cars will be on display and on track at the Mitty. You may see BMWs from the '70s such as the “Batmobile” BMW 3.0 CSL or a 320i Turbo. Or you might see an '80s BMW M1 Group 4 car, a March GTP racer or the Warsteiner M3.
Off the track, the infield will be buzzing with activity thanks to the Grassroots Motorsports Speedfest at the Classic Motorsports Mitty. Spectators will enjoy car corrals, vendors and an expansive hospitality tent, all while surrounded by the buzzing excitement of HSR-sanctioned historic racing activities that will see over 300 cars competing throughout the weekend.
So whether you’re a BMW fan or just a sports car enthusiast in general, you’ll want to make plans now to attend the 2015 Classic Motorsports Mitty. Featuring BMW: The 2015 Mitty will showcase the great cars from BMW, and we have several special attractions in the works. If you’re a fan of the Roundel, you’ll find plenty to do at the Mitty.
Amazing Access: At most big-time races, when the cars come off the track, they're hidden away. That's not how things operate at the Mitty. Want a close-up look at an Audi R8, a Porsche 911 RSR or a BMW Batmobile? Prepare to have your senses overwhelmed.
Experience Speedfest: Speedfest at the Classic Motorsports Mitty Presented by Hagerty is more than just a full slate of HSR historic racing. It’s an automotive festival. Club corrals fill the Road Atlanta infield. Free test drives are available. Vendors offer amazing finds. Hospitality is available for all. The Classic Motorsports staff is on hand to provide a behind-the-scenes look. And the grand marshal isn’t whisked from motorhome to motorhome, as he’ll be palling around with other race fans all weekend.
Take in the Concours d’LeMons Spectacle: Come celebrate the odd, original and overlooked. Have a Cosworth Vega? Bring it. Edsel? Yes, please. Giant American station wagon? We’ll make room. Grassroots Motorsports Magazine and Hagerty Insurance have inexplicably sponsored this expansion of the Concours d’LeMons empire.
Full Weekend of Entertainment: In addition to the full slate of HSR-sanctioned historic racing, the Mitty weekend includes live music, technical seminars, infield camping, vendor row, amazing access, free paddock access, car club corrals, parade laps around the track, and so much more. And don't forget, it all takes place at Road Atlanta, one of the country's most exciting tracks.

Activities
The Speedfest at the Classic Motorsports Mitty will have more special events this year than ever before.
The Coker Tire Tour is a one-day road trip with fellow car enthusiasts that leads to the Classic Motorsports Mitty. We'll set off from Coker Tire headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee, stop for lunch at Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge, Georgia and then make it to Road Atlanta just in time for the Classic Motorsports Mitty. We only have about 10 spots remaining for this tour.
The GT Radial Test Drive is a good oportunity for you to thrash on someone else's car and explore the limits of GT Radial Tires. Rotate through a trio of MINIs while sampling three of GT Radial's sports tires. Signing up is free, just head over to the Road Atlanta test track next to the skidpad on Friday and Saturday.
The Traqmate Skidpad Challenge is probably the most fun you will have in your own car off the track over the weekend. Basically, it's a competition to see whose car can grip the best. It'll take place on Sunday, April 26 at the Road Atlanta skidpad. Signing up is free and we have tons of room for more entries. Don't miss out.
The Concours d'LeMons is always a treat. Explore some of yesterdays forgotten an neglected automobiles in a fun, concours-type event. This jalopy invasion will only be taking place on Sunday, April 26.

We will have a couple of cars (hopefully Mini Coopers) equipped with GT Radial performance tires for you to drive on Road Atlanta's autocross course located in the infield in the turn #6 & #7 area. Be sure to drop by and talk tires with GT Radial staff and sign up for the ride & drive happening on Friday and Saturday at the Classic Motorsports Mitty.

Concours d'LeMons, a celebration of the Oddball, Mundane and truly Awful cars of the automotive world will be having their event at the Mitty on Sunday, April 26th starting in the infield on vendors row at around 11:00 AM.

Just got back from vacation and a trip to Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta where we shared a booth with HSR and promoted the Mitty to the huge crowd at the track. Passed out lots of "save the date" cards and encouraged the fans to come back to the Mitty!
