EDIT 2016-01-04
Bringing this back from the dead as the deal for the Mustang appears to have fallen through.
New Price of $1,200 for the Mustang only. The Expedition has moved on.
I will entertain trades and cash. I need the steel rear bumper for my 2003 H2, I also need a driver's side fender for my Xtype Paint Code MDZ. But I really like cash!!!
Car is Located in Maynard MA
Figured I would post up here first.
My car I have had it since 2000.
1994 Mustang. V6 3.8, AC, rear defog . No power anything.
The back story: I got it for my wife in 2000. It came with a Vortech supercharged V6 that was tired but still ran ok. My wife drove it for about 6 months but did not like the supercharger and with the motor being tired (virtually no compression and low oil pressure) it was time for a new motor. So I replaced it with a V6 from a 1997 with 42K on it. With the replacement motor my wife drove it but she only had a 1 mile commute to work and would on most days walk to work. So the car accumulated very little millage while we have had it. It had 129K when I purchased it and it now has 159K.
Fast forward to the fall of 2012 and it needed intake gaskets replaced. The intake gaskets on these are a known problem and when they fail coolant gets sucked in to the motor and pop the head gasket so instead of risking things I just decided to do a complete top end gasket replacement on the motor. While I was in there I had the heads decked at the local machine shop and some minor cleaning up of the casting slag in the ports (not a true porting of the heads at all). I used Felpro top end gasket set and new stretch bolts. I got it all back together and drove it for a month as my commuter to make sure everything was ok and it was. The car sat all of 2013 after I fixed it. I got the car inspected in February 2014 and at that time I replaced the front tires with new ones. It then has sat did not used at all from February 2014 until now. This car has always been the one I kept around to go to the parts store when our “real” cars need work. But with my wife and I both getting newer cars and us having 5 other cars to drive the Mustang just has not been driven. I have started it several times and every now and then put a battery tender on it but it never needs it. It holds a charge and will start rite up even after sitting for 3-4 months at a time.
Fast forward to a month ago and I was looking at cars and shuffling the fleet around and I realized that the inspection sticker had expired 3 months ago and I realized that it was time to move this car down the road.
Currently the car has the stock 15” rims on it. I have a set of 16” rims from a GT with wide tires on them (don’t remember the size at the moment). The tires were summer performance tires of some sort. They have been in storage in my shed for 4-5 years so they may be junk but they go with the car.

Interior
Interior is in very good shape for it age. Typical light brown microfiber interior with black trim. No rips tears or stains. Just dated and a bit dusty. Steering wheel is aging due to sun. It is dry rotted and the rubber grip has separated from the inner metal ring When the gas tank was replaced I found some rust/rot up behind the rear bumper. The OE tank straps were rusted and they replaced with aftermarket straps.
Exterior
Exterior is a 4/10. Dark green in color. No body rot that I know of there are a couple very small areas of surface rust. The clear coat is pealing and looks like junk. There are numerous little chips and some scrapes on the front of the car. It does not look like Junk but it is definitely in need of attention if you care about that kind of thing.
The car has a Roush rear wing and a Roush Front fascia / bumper cover. In my opinion it loos a bit dated in terms of style but others may love it. I think they are poser parts not really functional but I got the car with them on it.
The car does have a duel exaust from a GT on it that actually sounds pretty good, (as good as a V6 can sound)
The fake plastic brake duct scoop behind the rear passenger door is broken. I have a replacement that goes with the car.
Issues I know about.
Ebrake works but not well. I have spent hours trying to figure it out. New pads, lines, cables rotors and nothing seems to make it work as well as it should.
The speedometer works when it wants to. I always use Garman GPS so it was never an issue.
Steering feels a little sticky some times. Don’t know if it needs a rack or if it is the PS pump.
The coolant temp sensor was replaced when I did the HG. I think the one I put in is no good as the car runs better with it un plugged. Or it could be a wire or something. I never looked at it I just un pluged it and it ran fine.
Exterior Paint as noted above needs to be re painted.
SRS system has been disabled. IE the air bags are NOT working in the car. The reason for this is that the sensors in the front failed and they are a one year only part that is NLA. The SRS module has been disconnected and the SRS light on the dash hotwired so it comes on at initial start up. SO it looks like everything is normal but again the SRS system in the car is NOT working.
I am asking $1,750 for it. But I will listen to offers as I really just want it gone. I will be putting the $$$$ towards our family vacation this summer. This car has been a good car for us. It has been part of the family for 15 years but it is time for it to move on to someone else and hopefully live on.
I will be giving the car a bath this weekend and will take photos of it and post them up. At the moment it is covered in pollen and dust and what not. At the moment it has that abandoned vehicle look.
