This is just one of 29 alloy-bodied examples of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing. RM Sotheby’s calls it “among the very finest 300 SL Gullwings in existence,” and rightfully so.
Only a handful still retain the original 3.0-liter NSL engine and alloy bodywork. This is one of them.
This Gullwing also carries an interesting provenance with it, being first delivered to Casablanca, Morocco, and later owned for 32 years by Hyatt Cheek, national president of the Gullwing Group and MBCA.
