Day-um. Sexy. Nice work! Only 200 hours? It looks like you could have spent that on the paintwork alone!

Nicely done! Too bad the kit just went out of production, they really are pretty.

Trying to fit anything bigger than an A-series in is pretty tough. That body is shrink-wrapped around it. That's okay, because there's no room for big rubber anyhow!

Did you paint it, or is that the gel coat on the 'glass?

Hong-Norr and Lotus XI is not combination I would have expected in the same photo. But I only know Hong-Norr from what I read here.

That said, thats a beautiful car. I am feeling just a little bit envious.

Depends on the state. Some require a full windshield and wipers. Some require 2011 emissions tests. But otherwise, it should be good.

I see a Georgia license plate. I'll bet you could get a parking spot at the GRM tent at the Mitty...

Absolutely stunning. I love it.

So curvy & pretty, yet at the same time, downright mean .

Cool setting, too...the 11 looks like a spaceship amongst all those "pedestrian" cars.

Thanks for the love.

It has a built BMC 1275 with Cooper S pistons, a lumpy cam, and a crankcase evac system to keep the oil in.

The shell is black gel coat, but the bottom pontoons are supposed to be unfinished aluminum. Only a few of those 200 hours were spent on the finish.

We're in Florida, and you can pretty much register a bathtub if it has wheels and lights...

btw, that's the General Tso in the background of one of the earier pics. It wouldn't be The Hong Shop without a few CRX's scattered about. Also check out our Facebook page, Hong Norr Racing, to see more Hong goodness.

Fan-Tab-U-los!

I always think to myself I'm not dedicated enough to do a full build/kit like that ... How was the build process?
Did the process go smooth or were their long periods of 'It'll never get done ... I must stop"

If it's in GA, then you can register just about anything, we barely have emissions inspections down here (only in the metro ATL area) and no safety inspections or any silly stuff like that. GA still is the wild west for cars, our track car is street legal, you don't need a title to register a car pre-1986, and with enough paper work you can register newer than 86 cars w/o a title, ask me how I know

EDIT: saw your post on it being in FL, I was going to say that the only other state that I know of that has as lax laws as GA as far as vehicle registration would be FL

Well I see a wood steering wheel so at least the Hong Norr tradition of having something from a tree still stands.

I am hoping to see more photos... soon... please.
