black gold! Get funky man!
High gloss black wheels works for me.
Else go for broke and pick the loudest colour you can think of. Bright yellow makes a statement.
If trying to stay classy, how about a set of BBS wheels like these.
Clean and polished works for them. Make sure headlights are clear, rub down the trim with back to black or something, and as much as I don't like it hit the wheels with some wet look cleaner.
I like plain looking cars. You know how many times my refridgerator white Elantra was tagged at well over the speed limit but the bright colored sportly looking car got nailed? A lot. Love flying under the radar.
Overfenders, some nasty wide tires on low-offset wheels and maybe a little aero. (ducktail and splitter?)
I don't have any problems with beige. Do the same things you'd do to a normal car to make it look good. It fits some cars better than others, but that is true of all colors.
Add graphics in bronze, silver and gray. The ‘82 Collector Edition Corvette got it very right. I still like the color, officially Silver Beige. Some inspiration:
I have a BeigeGold Porsche 911 and the only (same gen) 911 color i'd willingly swap it for is Violet ChromaFlair. It wouldn't even look better per se, just more different.
I agree about the dark-but-not-black wheels statement, but since i haven't painted my 911 wheels yet i can't prove that i'm right yet.
