God that thing's wide(that's what she said)...
Go get 'em, BC!
This might be the raddest E36 M3 i have ever seen. It's so wrong, but my fun part are still tingling hard.
I think i'll go start researching baja stuff. I want one.
Has anyone found a page describing the parts he's using in the buggy? The diff, brakes and all suspension parts look like fairly serious off road racing parts.

it's actually the raddest E30 I have ever seen...I don't believe it is an M3...
The motor and trans are from a '95 M3, does that count?
A recent Bill quote: "It's about getting off the sofa, rather than watching TV at night, just taking a few baby steps towards building dreams... My next goal is the 24 Hours of Nurbürgring."

Okay, I can't stand it. Taking off the covers for the night run is cool.
Y'all who know desert racing better than I (or any of you who know Bill), what stinking class does that thing run in? I'm trying to look up running order on the InTerW3bz, and can't find anything..

In the link provided it shows him in the class called "Sportsman Car" still car # 1407
I did the same. If you zoom in on where it claims his GPS tracker is at you can see what looks like a swimming pool. My guess is unrepairable damage and out.
Currently traveling at 0mph
Of course, as I write this it is 5:30 in the morning out there. Maybe he needed sleep. We will see if the car starts back up and moves forward.

Except that it looks like he drove to the hotel.
about two hours ago, I saw a post on his facebook which stated
"ripped steering rack off car. Swapped a new one in the middle of nowhere. We are cold and tired and barley going to make the next checkpoint. We are done"
It sounds like he was able to drive out of the desert under his own power. He just posted a picture of the car at a checkpoint and one of he and his copilot smiling so it couldn't have been TOO bad.
The car looks like it had fun!
